Watches NEWS
Definately keep your Sub for a worry free watch.
Stopped over in Curacao on a recent cruise, and spent a good bit of time in the local AP dealer there, trying on various RO and ROO models.Wow! Was really taken by the design and look of these watches, the level of detail and workmanship is first rate. I had not spend any significant time with AP prior to this trip. My DW really fell for the 47mm lady's offshore (that's gonna cost me down the road! ).The sales person who attended us was very nice, if not 100% knowledgeable about the watches. She stayed with us for more than an hour, and gave us a hardcover AP book when we finally left - even though she knew the prospects of an immediate sale were slim - our ship was leaving in a couple of hours.Anyway - what's holding me back at this point is the fact that I'm pretty happy with my Rolex sports models (the SubC gets most of the wrist time - best all-around watch I've ever owned). Outside of work, we lead a pretty active life, and I never have to worry about where I'm headed or what
still waiting for Breitling Colt GMT
hey guys i ordered a Breitling Gmt about 3 weeks ago and i was told it will be about 3 weeks till they get it (Alan Furman). i called them up yesterday and they said it will take another 2-4 weeks. is this normal?
Saw the PO Good Planet today.. regretting gmtc purchase.
i bought a bnib gmtc this week. luckily i have not had a chance to size it yet. the reason i say lucky, is because i am seriously considering selling for a slight loss due to what i came across today at the mall xmas shopping. OMG, the freakin PO GOOD PLANET is freaking gorgeous. i've seen pics, but they do not do it justice at all. the blue is almost black, and the orange numbers are the perfect size..i'm telling you, i am not a huge fan of omega, especiall the PO's but this thing was amazing.that is all.. decisions, deciaions.
What is a reasonable discount off of MSRP?
Greetings from a newbie, I have a beginner's question. I have always worn inexpensive Seiko watches but I am ready to buy something nice. I can't afford a Submariner so I am going to purchase an Omega Seamaster 300 M shortly after Christmas. There are 2 Omega ADs in my city of 1 million peeps and, oddly enough, they are located about 100 feet from each other. I visited them today and both mentioned the same MSRP of $3400. At the first store (Tourneau) the salesman said they did not put items on sale but he would work with me on the price. Since I wasn't buying it today I didn't ask for the exact amount of the discount. I visited the 2nd store (Bailey Banks & Biddle) and as soon as they found out that I'd already been to the Tourneau across the walkway they immediately offered me a 20% discount on the same watch -actually, on any watch they had in the store - good for today only. I feel like I've been car shopping. Anywho, what can I expect as a reasonable discount on a new
Is there a Panerai with these specs?
I am sorry to start another one of these threads, but I have been looking for awhile with no luck. I got to try on a 233 and fell in love with it. I have had a 177 and 359 before so I am familiar with those sizes. I am looking for a Panerai with the following:-44mm (Crown guard Model)-Sandwich Dial-Sub seconds-Date (no cyclops)-Manual Wind (auto's are a little thick for my wrists)-Power reserve meter (rear or dial is fine)The reason I dont just get the 233 is that I don't need a GMT function, so I figured I could save some money looking for one without that feature.Thank you for any and all help!
