A Week On The Wrist: The Hermes Dressage LHeure Masquee
Some of the most original watch designs in recent years have come from a company that’s not, for the general luxury loving public, especially associated with watches: Hermès. However the company actually has a quite long history of offering timepieces under its name; the first Hermès labeled watches were actually sold at 24 Faubourg St.-Honoré in 1928, and the company had, for instance, relationships with companies as varied as Universal Geneve and Jaeger LeCoultre (in fact as recently as 2013, Hermès collaborated with Jaeger LeCoultre in the creation of an Atmos clock) of many years’ duration. Perhaps, therefore, it is more logical as well as more reasonable to view their relatively recent foray into creating their own timepiece collections, and unusual complications, as an extension of a decades-long tradition, rather than as a new effort per se. Advice Needed : AP ROO Scuba Orange?
Hi allI'm thinking of selling either my ROO White Theme or my ROO Diver to fund for a Boutique Scuba Diver Orange which is rare - the motivation to do it comes from the fact that the Orange Diver is rare plus I like watches with orange accents..My dilemma is that I would've loved to own all 3 but as is often the case with watch addictions, i don't wish to have too much funds tied up in watches.May I hear some of your opinions please? Thanks in advance for your kind input..
PL 8500 Question
I am ready to pull the trigger on the 8500 XL PO watch. My question though is, why does the one with the rubber strap (w/ orange stitching) differ from the one with the metallic bracelet which is supposedly made of the new liquidmetal and stamped on the back of the skeleton back which is not adorned on this model. Do I need to wait for the latest and greatest still?
At 1605Z, the doorbell rang and . . .
the FedEx guy handed me a box containing this:
Rolex GMT master II 16710 bezel turning issue?
Hi All,I have noticed that the bezel of my GMT 16710 turns smoothly counter clockwise but is very stiff and hard to turn counter clockwise . I have already given it a good clean but it doesn't seem to make much difference .Anyone else notice this issue with the older GMTs? Mine is a D serial. I am now wondering if it's worth me taking it to the RSC or not . I rarely use the bezel and even if I do I can always just rotate it counterclockwise . It does bug me a little though !
