Showing at WatchTime IBG 2014: A. Lange & S?hne Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase
WatchTime and noted watch collector and expert Jeff Kingston have teamed up again for the 2014 edition of the popular “Inside Basel.Geneva” series of collector events, kicking off September 5 in Chicago. Among the timepieces featured there by the core sponsor watch brands is the new Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase from A. Lange & Sohne, which made its debut at SIHH 2014.The new Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase gives the moon-phase display which is designed to remain accurate for 122.6 years and features a patented coating process on the moon disk a spot of distinct prominence on the dial. A. Lange & S?hne has produced a dozen moon-phase watches since its re-founding in the Saxon town of Glashtte in 1990, but none have ever had so large a display for the lunar complication on the dial.In addition to having a vividly realistic look, the moon-phase display of the new Grand Lange 1 watch is in sync with the actual orbit of the moon. The display is connected with the watch’s

So I tried this today. Heart is still racing and I must have it.
I finally got to try this beauty on.These pictures don't do the dial or the watch any justice. She is an absolute stunner. The 15202 is just something different. How do you think she wears on my puny 6.25 wrists?I found the 15450 37mm to be too small. Personally think this watch fits really well, and the thin case really helps as well.I am trying to stay patient so that I can save some more money for a few more months before I pull the trigger on my 25th Birthday this November.I keep trying to tell myself to wait because it will feel better after the wait, but I am not sure if I will be able to.I have yet to try the Patek 5711 which was the contender for me, but after trying this, I don't even know if I want to try the Nautilus. The Jumbo is just incredible! Also have had several people tell me the 5711 would be more suitable for a person of an older age; Not sure I agree. Here are the pics. Tell me how you think she wears on my wrists. Thank you for reading!
Planet Ocean 42, are you a 2500 man or a 8500 man?
I 'considering cashing in on my Sub C' and thinking about getting a PO to replace it as my dressy diver. Just wondering taking all factors of movement, dial, price and difference in height, which camp are you in?(Unfortunately I've not seen a 8500 near me to try on)
Is 5990/1A a legitimate Nautilus?
I was always wanting to acquire a 5990/1A to complete my Nautilus collection as I have Nautilus obsession. And my AD called me yesterday to let me know I can have one in about two months also. He's nice enough to let me in to try on the one they have to be delivered to another client(I am the next!). The watch is cool, feels flatter than my 5980 and larger (due to a slimmer bezel?). I think I won't have any doubt if I am first time Nautilus buyer. But there are two issues bothering me: 1.somehow because of the dial color and design, it makes me think 5990 is an aquanaut instead. 2. This watch has no visible screw holes on both ears---two dual time pushers on the left side, two chrono pushers on the right side. This completely changed the look of 5990 for me, making me doubt if it is still a Nautilus. Folks, what are your thoughts? Would be glad to know!
