Eterna KonTiki Diver Watch Available: Be One Of The First To Own One
The Eterna KonTiki Diver was to be one of the first new Eterna watches to be officially sold in the US again. The wait was long. Years overdue, literally. We all sat and drooled over the pictures of the unique looking diver watch from Eterna that somehow appeared perfectly designed. I recall thinking to myself, "that watch has everything I think I would want in a diver watch." The legible face, subtle futuristic and confident looks, power reserve, rotating bezel, and sturdy case and construction! The initial price for the Eterna Kontiki that I read about really discouraged me. 10 grand?! Really?! That is expensive, and up there in Rolex Seadweller and Blancpain Fifty Fathoms territory, which are great watches, but I mostly like something that I know is rock solid and only enthusiasts can really appreciate. For Rolex you pay a lot for the name. That should not be an issue with Eterna at this time. I am pleased to say that is looks like street prices for the Eterna KonTiki Diver watch are
Crown position and tightening
Hi, Needed some advices from experience owner.1) the AP logo on the crown don't line up horizontally with the case. Is this a defect?2) do you tighten the crown till no movement with all force using thumb and index finger or should I use a pliers to ensure waterproofing.
Know anything abut the 15320 Millenary?
I'm curious if anyone has one of these or knows anything about them? I'm starting to like the idea of a watch on a strap that can be fairly dressy but still contemporary enough to look fine with casual dress.I haven't been able to dig up any info or reviews on this piece so I'm assuming it isn't wildly popular, but that's not a issue with me anyways. I love the look and I think it might fit me better than the 4101 Millenary that I also like. (Although I haven't got to try a 4101 I'm thinking it will be too big for me).Anyone have this piece? Or has anyone tried it that could elaborate on how it wears etc? I'm also interested in the 4101 as previously mentioned. Thanks gentleman and enabling is encouraged
Broken Omega Seamaster Jacques Mayol :(
My father gave me his old Omega Seamaster two years ago, it was in rough shape and unfortunately has totally seized up recently. Its a quartz movement, one of the first I think in a swiss dive watch, so I don't know what the odds of fixing it are. Its a beautiful watch similar to this - forums.watchuseek/f29/sol...ed-524009.htmlbut with the all stainless band. I'm trying to figure out what to do, should I search high and low for another one on the internet for the sentimental value, or can anyone recommend a course of action that I could undertake in Canada?- Thanks alot in advance!David
Omega Service Centre in Toronto?
I've got to take the Speedy in for service, it's starting to run 25 to 30 seconds fast per day. Has anyone ever dealt with the Omega Service Centre in Toronto? Any Idea what their turn around time is?
