Greubel Forsey Double Tourbillon Techniqu watch
I first discussed the watch Greubel Forsey Double Tourbillon Technique here (where I'm going more technique in detail internal GF02s manually made would be movement). In short, he has time, indicator of reserve power, subsidiaries seconds and double whirlpool escapes.
Vacheron Constantin 222 by Gerald Genta has been delivered in a nice leather box
These watches have been delivered in a nice leather box and included a clip of the money in the form of the case of the previous day.The movement in the ' 222 is the VC 1120, based on the 920 Jeager-LeCoultre calibre movement (but never used) in their own watches. The Royal Oak and the Nautilus also used iteration of this movement.
Introducing: The Girard-Perregaux 1966 Dual Time, A User-Friendly And Cost-Friendly Travel Companion
When Girard-Perregaux released their 1966 Dual Time in 2014, we applauded their efforts for making a gorgeous, and very wearable, traveler's watch. The only criticism it received was its high price point, dictated by the precious metal it was made in. Two years later, it's back, and we're happy to announce it's being offered in stainless steel, for $10,500.Girard-Perregaux has paired the 40 mm steel case with a clean white dial, an option which was already available with the rose-gold version. It's a very sound decision by all accounts. Some tweaks have been made to increase the legibility of the dial, and overall this year's model looks a lot more conventional than the original. 1 OF 3 It presents a serious challenge to the Chronomtrie Dual Time from Montblanc, another handsome and reasonably priced dual time in stainless steel. However, the GP presents a very intuitive quickset function for the local time, controlled by pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock, while home time is se
New Sub wear/wind
Two weeks ago I collected my first Rolex - a brand new no date Submariner, I've bought it to wear not to be an ornament. My job is fixing gym equipment so there's a possibility of knocks, I train before work so it's no big deal to wear my Apple Watch during the day. Since I got it I've been wearing at home after work (beacause it's new and cool) but it seams a bit daft to wear just around the house for the sake of it.So here's my question, should I,1/ continue to wear my watch in evenings and weekends to keep movement ticking over. It's a Submariner after all, built to last. 2/ put away watch on Monday morning and, (unless going out midweek) set the time on a Friday and wind - the pulling out of crown once a week won't wear seals or cause any long term damage.Or3/ buy a winder, leave watch in it so it's always good to go.Thanks all for any advice.
After Christmas, Reduced Demand?
What do you think, has the demand for Rolex watches reduced or will it stay high for the Sports models? Is there a difference between new and used demand?
