Grand Seiko Watch Roadshow 2012 At Arizona Fine Time
To be honest with you, I don't really like shopping for watches. I've visited some high-end stores, but have never had a good experience. Haughty and ignorant clerks make for a bad time. It's somewhat understandable in that most customers are not watch geeks, but I'm still averse. So keep that in mind when I tell you that I had a blast visiting the watch showroom at Arizona Fine Time for their Grand Seiko roadshow. This is an unusual place indeed.(Ariel visited last time, and I recommend reading his writeup here as I'll try to not duplicate what he said.)To my mind, the most interesting thing about AZ Fine Time is the back-story of how they came to be selling fine watches and cigars. Mitchel Hirsh, the owner, was a former commodities trader from Chicago who got started selling cigars, and then a few of his personal watches. What he found is that men, just like me, were not well served by watch sellers, and that a relaxed, guy-friendly atmosphere made for much happier customers. AZFT has
Project X Designs "Stealth" Customized Rolex Submariner Watch
Since the media is on the topic, I am going to dedicate this post to Charlie Sheen. More specifically Charlie Sheen in the movie Platoon - because this set of watches from Project X Designs looks precisely like something his character would have worn in Platoon. See how nicely that works out? And since we know Charlie Sheen is a big time watch lover (and warlock), he would have likely happily worn one of these (good actor playing solider wears good watch acting to be soldiers' watch) . This watch is Project X Designs' latest Rolex mod called the Stealth Mk. III and Mk. IV. Which means there should have been a Mark I and II before it.I last wrote about Project X Designs here. As you recall, they have no relationship with Rolex, but rather take new Rolex timepieces and perform various modifications on them. The results are usually very cool. Rolex modifiers are pretty common, but those who do it well are rare. The Project X Stealth watches are meant to hearken back to military Rolex Subm
Almost ready to make the jump
Hey guys,I've had my Rolex Yachtmaster Platty 16622 for a while now and I'm almost ready to make the jump to Patek. And I need your help. For a while now the nautilus 5711/1a-011 has been my grail, but I've started to develop doubts. I know its really hard to say without trying the on the watch, but I feel its going to be a bit too big on my 6.5inch wrist, the 40mm rolex feels and looks great on me (pic below). For the above reason I've started to consider a 5167A-001. How does the feel and fit on this one compare to the nautilus? Im really attracted as well to the rubber strap and the posibility of having the steel one as well, something I've been trying for my YM but havent been able to acomplish this. Final question: should I go for the 5711 or the 5167? I just want an upgrade on my YM that I could use for ideally the rest of my life. Thanks!

So how long have you or had been waiting for the call from the AD? I was told early 2018, but we shall see.
About Daytona models
This I just read in the Forum, refers to the earliers Daytona models 16520, 116520 and comment that the prices have gone through the roof since being discontinued and the new 116500 released. I really do not know why that has to happen. The new models 116500 would not be logically the most coveted? When was it released for sale? This year? In what month?By the way, does anyone know what the official Rolex price of model 116500 is?And another question The 116500 comes with ceramic bezel but the diameter of the case is the same than the previous models? Forgive so many questions but I thought to get rid of my Sub.116610 and try to see if my budget reaches me to reach an 116500.Thanks friends.
