Watches NEWS
Hands-On: With The Tissot Heritage Navigator 160th Anniversary (Live Pics & Pricing)
To celebrate its 160th anniversary, Tissot reached back into its past and decided to bring back an iconic anniversary watch, the Tissot Heritage Navigator. The first version of this watch was released in 1953 when the brand turned 100, and now Tissot has updated the classic worldtimer design to suit the brand's modern identity, giving us the Heritage Navigator 160th Anniversary.? 2 OF 14 The biggest difference you'll notice immediately is the larger size for the 160th Anniversary Navigator. The 1953 centenary edition was 36mm, which was relatively large for the time, and accordingly the new Heritage Navigator is 43mm. The case is certainly large, but it wears very easy on the wrist. Plus, the increased size seriously helps legibility which is often a problem with true worldtime watches like this. 3 OF 14 To make the Heritage Navigator easy to read, Tissot uses 12-hour markings on the bezel for reading the main time and 24-hour markings on the dial to help re
Are the parts on the 2500 and the 1120 interchangable?
Digging around in my parts box I found two 2500b, one 1120, and a couple 2892 a2 movements.I know all are derivatives of the 2892, Do many parts interchange? Can i drop off the pile to an expert and get a couple working movements? Assuming the needed parts are functional.I'd rather reclaim a couple instead of parting out the lot.
How the 5167 dial is made ..?
Anyone have any info on the making of the 5167 dial? How Patek finishes it to be able to look so dynamic under so many different lightning conditions? I heard that it takes Patek quite some time to make the 5167 dial ... I can't seem to find anything online supporting this though ... Would love any insight if you have it!Thanks!
First visit to a Patek boutique
Well just came back from the PP boutique in Paris, and it's clear that it became my favorite brand with Rolex, tried 4 watches that interested me, 3 Nautilus and 1 Aquanaut, I loved the quality, look and feel of them, the perfect finition, the beautiful movements. Now I understand the reputation of the brand and number of followers which swear by that brand.I have definitely decided to get as soon as possible a 5712, blue dial, and one day if possible get also an Aquanaut in SS with rubber band. The watches are really perfect, nothing to say about quality and style, it's perfection.
