7 Rare Watches at Antiquorum’s 40th Anniversary Auction
Geneva-based Antiquorum Auctioneers turns 40 this year, and it is celebrating with an auction of Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces, to be held at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, on Saturday, February 22. Among the highlights of the more than 250 timepieces on the block are a rare, steel Patek Philippe chronograph; a prototype Richard Mille tourbillon watch; and several vintage Rolexes. Doubtless the headliner of the auction is the Patek Philippe Ref. 5004A stainless-steel wristwatch (Lot 250), with a split-seconds chronograph function, made in a limited edition of only 50 pieces. ?Produced in 2011, this highly collectible timepiece also features a perpetual calendar with moon-phases, leap year, and 24-hour indication, and comes on a leather strap with a stainless-steel Patek Philippe deployant clasp. The watch is double sealed and accompanied by a fitted wooden box, an additional, solid stainless steel case back, a setting pin and a leather folio. Its pre-auction estimate is

What do you guys think? Is this a Patek Patek? I tried to find info but not much (I looked up the yellow gold version).I find the cushion shape strangely appealing. Any info, experiences, pics are welcomed.I included two pics from Hodinkee web site (thx guys):
Bye Bye Last Breitling!
Yesterday my collection became all Rolex. I sold my last Non- Rolex watch Breitling Bentley 6.75 Speed. (besides my Apple 3 Nike Watch lol). Feels kind of good. Collection now consists of YM2 SS 44mm, Bluesy Two Tone Submariner, and James Cameron Deep Sea Blue. I am thinking of adding another watch around December. Any suggestions on what other Rolex you would add to this collection? I am 6ft 4 230 pounds and Daytona runs too small.
INCOMING: PM Daytona/ Panda Dial
I just received my BNIB 116509 Daytona in White Gold from the legend himself DavidSW! This piece really reminds me of a Vintage 6265, but with all the modern nuances! Thanks again D!
Now or Later
Hello EveryoneI am new to posting on this forum but have been reading it for a while and have enjoyed learning so much about Rolexes. I have decided to buy a subc. I know that stock is low right now. I am in no real hurry to purchase it (today or after the first of the year). Given the supply shortage over the holidays that I hear is typical of the SS models this time of the year, is there a trend to lower trusted seller prices or AD discounts after the first of the year or is it better to grab it while I can? Thanks so much
