Houston We Have a BIG Problem!!
So i'm sure many of you remember last week I had purchased an AP Legacy and posted several pictures of it. Well, over the weekend I was only wearing it around the house and because of it's HUGE 48mm size, the ceramic octagonal crown was digging into my wrist and hurt because of the sharp point. I could'nt screw down the crown anymore to change the angle and if I tried to unscrewed it a bit to change the angle of the crown and to make it not be so uncomfortable, i feared water would get in it and didn't want to take such a big risk with such a $$ watch. Another negative about the watch is, the bullet proof strap was starting to frey a bit, and i could only imagine what it would look like after a couple of months... also, the strap isn't waterproof because of the leather underside of the strap, so I could never swim with it or shower or anything.. it would be just a once in a while watch which I already own in my collection.. Aqua Terra just shipped off for minor service. Wish me luck!
I dread sending watches for service. It usually goes fine, but the risk of sending it off on a journey to be disassembled and all that...Anyhow, the crown in my three-year-old Aqua Terra has been extraordinarily stiff since the day it was new, and I think it has become even stiffer in the last few months. The crown does everything it's supposed to do, but every aspect of operating it is really stiff (unscrewing/screwing down, winding, pulling out to other positions, turning it to set the time, etc., everything feels really stiff).Until recently I figured I would just live with it until the watch is ready for its first full maintenance service, but lately I realize it's impacting my enjoyment of the watch, and now I'm also concerned that the seals around the stem could be faulty, and it really ought to be addressed.The watch remains under Omega's International Warranty, so I packed it up with a photocopy of my warranty card (per Omega's instruction) and a note describing the symptoms

Vintage Speedy leather strap

omega vs rolex mechanical sounds
My Omega is SOOO much louder than my rolex....both ticking and the rotor.Anyone else notice this?
