Review: Bulova 96A102 Commemorative Hack Watch
Having worn this watch for several weeks now, I can straight up just say that it is a great and pleasurable watch to wear. As I said in my initial impressions, part of what drew me to this watch was simply the overall value of it. Good brand, great look and a seconds-sub dial (which one does not see often in this price range) for under $100. How can you go wrong? Well, of course the build quality could be mediocre. That's not the case here; the Bulova is a very nicely built and sturdy watch. Maybe the strap is a piece of garbage? Nope. I love the strap that it came with. It is perfectly styled for the watch, very nicely constructed and extremely comfortable. Ummmaybe it keeps bad time? Once again, no: it is powered by a Japanese quartz (Miyota) and is as reliable as I could ever need. ?Basically, it all comes down to looks, and I love the way it looks.Case: Sandblasted ?A9 Stainless SteelMovement: Miyota Quartz (details unknown)Dial: Black with White IndexLens: Domed AcrylicCase Back:
New AP lover!
Just wanted to introduce myself to the group. My love for watches started when I was 18 and for Xmas my father bought me a Omega Seamaster. The watch didn't leave my hand for the next 10 years. The watch was bulletproof and I have yet to own a better watch. Then of course I moved on to Rolex and Panerai. The last month I wanted to up grade my collection so I purchased a AP ROO Diver and RO SS, PP 5711 Nautilus and Breguet Marine. In my collection I have to say the Diver and IWC arethe most fun to wear. The 15400 beats the 5711 by beauty in a long shot, the best looking watch I ever owned.
Absolutely Gorgeous
Simplicity is blissful...
315 movement
I have just picked up a 2008 PP 5146g with the 315 movement. It has just been serviced and I've only had it a 4 days but it appears to be keeping good time.Reading comments online it is said the 315 caliber is not as accurate. Has anyone had any experience of this? Will it be a problem?
Dear Rolex: Really????
Dear Rolex:You do know that I am a Rolex Geek Squad member (as called by several of your boutique staff); and that just like my fellow TRFers, we get goosebumps and start conversations everywhere a Rolex is even hinted. You do know that I, just as most here, are on the verge of a nervous breakdown as Basel is around the corner...the same problem I have year after year. I wake up this morning and find this full, two page ad in my local newspaper...so now my need' of a new watch has turned into full madness. Once again you are a marketing genius!
