Omega Watches CEO Interview At Baselworld 2013
Each year at Baselworld we like to sit with Omega watches?CEO Stephen Urquhart to discuss the business, the brand, and overall what is new for 2013.? This year Mr. Urquhart speaks with watches-dealer about some interesting details regarding Omega's use of ceramic in their watches now and into the future, how features from the Aqua Terra 15,000 Gauss anti-magnetic watch will make it into all Omega watches, and what he feels is the state of the timepiece industry. Overall a good conversation, and as always, feelings straight from the heart with a minimal level of PR gloss. Thanks again to Stephen and the overall team at Omega. omegawatcheswatches-dealer
Oris Col Moschin Limited Edition Watch Hands-On
The green, white, and red colors of the power reserve indicator disc are a subtle reminder that this new limited edition watch from Oris has something to do with Italy. The dive watch is actually made as a limited edition piece with the Col Moschin in mind. Col Moschin is the Italian special forces. The only one that they have I believe. They seem pretty bad-ass (duh), and are known for having a very arduous training regiment. Col Moschin is also known as the Italian 9th Parachute Assault Regiment (you can read more about them here). While most of the elements from the Oris Col Moschin limited edition watch are taken from other Oris dive models, there are a few unique elements that makes the watch worth looking at.In mostly titanium, the watch is 49mm wide. It doesn't wear that big due to the thick bezel. Oris has a special ring grip around the bezel that it calls the "Rotation Safety System." Part of the outer bezel is in tungsten. The point of the system is to prevent the bezel from
Stain on rubber strap
Anybody know how to get rid of this stain!? Color from a new set of long sleeves caused this and it won't come off with soap and a brush ☹️Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Pam not for me
love the look of 424, so found myself with a few minutes to spare near Selfridges this morning and thought why not try it. Had a 425 in stock and sadly I think it looked huge and a bit ridiculous. Tried on the 44 and 42mm watches but they just didn't feel right. Would the California dial make the difference or is Panerai not for me?
With all the talk of the Rolex SS shortage...
There are tons of Datejusts, Oyster Perpetuals and Explorers available. I visited some dealers on Friday and tried on a number of these models. I also got on a list for the White OP being released in September. Meanwhile, I overheard a salesman quote a 7 year waiting list for a Submariner to a customer and his so .I'm very new to the world of Rolex watches, but 1) Why are Submariner and GMT in so much demand relative to DJ, OP?2) Do DJ and OP models have poor resale value?
