The Ferrari Speedmaster Chronography for instance has earned a name for itself
When it came to precision swiss watch manufacturing Ferrari has always been the forerunner. The Ferrari Speedmaster Chronography for instance has earned a name for itself for being the first watch that was worn to moon. During the 1960s the North American Space Association (NASA) consistently used these hand-wound mechanical Speedmaster wrist watches for all their missions in the outer space. This fact in itself bears a pertinent testimony to the superior function and design of the Ferrari watches.
Macro 44
I'm a bit obsessed. Had this lens adapter forThe iPhone so I was playing around.
First Breitling!
I've always been a Rolex guy along with a few vintage Tudors and a couple Omegas. But when I saw a photo of this watch, as the saying goes, it sang to me. In doing my research, I gained an understanding and appreciation for what was going on with the dial and bezel. All of my other watches have metal bracelets, so the straps are new to me. The photos show two different straps but I must say I'm a little more partial to the black one. Anyway, here is my new (to me) 806 Navitimer.
POC 8500 in for repair
Hi All,My POC 8500 has had to go back to Omega for repair as it is randomly gaining time. I don't wear it everyday but keep it in a watchwinder when it's not on my wrist. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that it would gain about 4 minutes overnight then about 1-2 minutes a day after that.Has anyone had any similar problems? Also, does anyone know how long it'll be before I get it back? Missing it already
Water resistance if crown protective device left open
Today I was wearing my PAM 164 Lumninor Marina after a few days. Before setting the time and date, I had washed my hands. Although I was sure I had dried my hands adequately, when I opened the crown and the protective crown device a little bit of water seems to have trickled onto and into the crown as its was wet when I was setting the time. I wanted to know whether the water resistance of the watch is affected if the crown protective device is left open. The watch doesn't seem to have fogged inside so I assume that water would not have trickled inside. However, for my information,I wanted to know if any of you are aware how the water resistance is correlated to the protective device and the opening and shutting of the crown. Thanks
