Showa Dating on Warranty Card?
I'm considering bidding on a Speedy Pro on eBay. The watch was originally purchased in Japan and the description states that the warranty card is dated Showa 22 (2010) 4/03. Is anyone familiar with this type of date? The serial number is 77176xxx, which is typically associated with a watch closer to 2007, not 2010. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!Link to the auction here: snipurl/23v5548
5227r vs 5205r
Very different watches but which do you prefer? A simple Calatrava 5227r or a 5205r Annual Calendar. The 5227r is 39mm, hunter back, and thinner. The 5205r is 40mm, AC, and thicker. The AC complication is a bargain for an added $12,300USD but it's still a $12,300 price difference.
Something we don't see everyday
Sorry for the crappy pics.
Steel to strap, bad?
I've been going through roughly 20 steel Rolex watches, and now starting to feel some itch for a proper dress watch, mostly a LANGE 1. Have you gone the same route...?
A Little Patek Limoges Box!!!
I absolutely love this Patek Limoges porcelain box. It currently belongs to one of my best friends, but he might sell it to me soon!
