Pairs Well With: C Ward Trident C60 GMT 600 Burgundy
Yesterday we took a look at the Christopher Ward Trident C60 GMT 600 38mm with the beautiful burgundy bezel. Boasting a GMT function and some impressive water resistance, the C60 makes for a great getaway watch and it's the only timepiece you'll need on your next family vacation. With the weather finally warming up for some fun in the sun, today's Pairs Well With matches the C60 with some key travel essentials that'll have you looking good on your flight over, on the beach, and on your nights out and about.Ludlow Sportcoat in Italian Cotton C Caspian BlueThis sportcoat from J.crew is a great warm-weather staple, and it's the perfect piece for those vacation nights when tank tops and swim trunks just won't cut it. It's made of cotton and is completely unstructured (no internal canvasing and padding), so it's lightweight and casual. The color is also more vibrant than your standard navy and it plays off the deep burgundy of the bezel quite well.Gitman Bros. Vintage Oxford Cloth Button Do
Ultimate luxury sports watch?
I didn't really know in what section to post this, so decided to post here, what are the ultimate sport watch brands? There's Rolex of course but for me it's not a luxury brand, it's a middle high end brand, then there's Richard Mille, they could be considered the ultimate sport pieces but only one thing bothers me with them is the low WR, for me a sports watch should have at least 100m WR, apart their diver models the WR is 30m as I understand, at the same time even if the WR was 200m would you really go for a swim with a 100K or more watch? I think I would not. Then there's the ROO line, multiple choice of metals, sizes, 42 and 44mm, for me the best are clearly the ones with ceramic or cermet bezel, the unscratchable factor is for me very, very important, I got the full ceramic diver because I find it hot looking and the AP ceramic seems to be up to taking a beating and resisting it, I wouldn't have any problem swimming or doing sports with it, something I wouldn't do with my PP 5712,
First PP - 5167
Apologies in advance for bad photo from cell phone.I need to quit reading these forums - it is bad for my bank accounts!Well, after a long, long period of deliberation, I unloaded my 116520 Daytona and settled on a Patek - an aquanaut 5167.I'm pretty thrilled! It is weird to be without a Rolex for the first time in 10+ years (I've owned 3). But the PP is really nice! Here's a quick summary of why I made the switch. Usual caveat that these are my opinions only.Downsides for the Datyona - I found legibility to be poor due to lack of anti-reflective coating and very busy dial. And the watch never really sat comfortably on my arm and was in constand battle with my shirt sleves. Also, I wish I could see the movement!Upsides for the Daytona - Looks incredible and has an amazing history. Every watch fan should own a Daytona at least once. Rolexes are built like tanks. No need to baby them.Downside for 5167 - Wish the band had some micro adjustment feature vs. using a scissors to cut
Correct way to pull the rolex crown?
Hi everyone. Was wondering if there is a correct way to pull the crown to adjust the date/time. I have a new dj 116234 and maybe am too delicate/scared to pull the crown. I can't seem to pull it in the second position (date position) very easily. I get it in the 3/4 th attempt. So I am doing something wrong? Am I supposed to use force or should it be easy? Is the crown a bit stiff since its a new watch?I use my thumb and index finger against the case to pull. Is this correct? Please help me to do it the correct way. Thanks

Does a modified 2007 Rolex Sub with an original Yachtmaster 'red' second hand affect the selling price? Would you buy a Rolex Sub with this type of modification or walk away? Let's hear from the guru's.I think it looks real nice.
