Short strap vs. Regular question
Quick question for those that know. Is the main difference between a regular rubber strap and a short strap the length or is the angle on where it connects to watch different as well?Edwin
Omega 2500 movement issue?
I have a PO with a 2500 and about a month ago it stopped all of the sudden, it;s my daily driver so it was wound.I played with it a while and I could get it to start for a few seconds and then stop again, it was Saturday afternoon so I took it off and decided to take it to Omega on Monday. To my surprise on Sunday afternoon I noticed that it had started back on its own and it hasn't stopped since.Om Friday the same thing happened to a coworker that has a similar watch but he's restarted a few hours later. What gives?
Seamaster gmt white dial
This watch is not in Omega's UK catalogue or on their website. Are there any ADs in the UK who carry this watch. If not, why not?IMHO it's Omega's best looking watch.Regards,John
Why? Why do I starting liking the 424 ... ?
I have tried the 425, its not really doing much for me, even though I like the dialwhich I think its more special than just 3, 6, 9, 12.Now I can't get the 424 (no date) out of my mind ... Any 424 owner? What do you think about the watch?
Long time "watcher", first time poster
Like what I did there?.... So here's my watch. Originally my father's which he purchased in about 1981 after securing a big shipping contract in the Middle East, where I grew up. Thought it was lost for the last 17 years as Dad had Alzheimers, but it turned up in a box of junk (her words) that my Stepmum gave me after he passed away last year. The President 18c bracelet was broken and worn, the glass chipped, the crown missing, and was in a state of severe disrepair. I bit the bullet and spent $NZ5k having the centrepiece repaired by Rolex and it is now under warranty and in as newcondition. I had to change the dial as the old one (gold) had radium and had to be removed according to Australian law. Went for the metallic blue dial and brown leather strap for a sort of classic/ modern look. I'll get the gold bracelet repaired in good time, but for now I'm pretty pleased with the result. Great to give this watch a new lease of life and in a way I feel closer to Dad as it was his most pre
