The Subtle Differences Within the 15400 Lineage
My OCD kicked in last while I was looking at my 15400 I bought last month and began researching the 15400 myself.I tried searching through the forums and couldn't seem to locate a thread referencing the subtle differences and changes even within the 15400 lineage.Thought I would share and see what you guys think. If you guys have more to add, let me know as well. Cheers. *Apologise in advance as these are not my images or pictures, but these seem to highlight the watches and subtleties quite well. As well, nor do I own two 15400 side by side to compare. From my research the blend of changes appears late H Series and I Series. Final changes are complete in the I Series in 2015. I'm not an expert by any means and the subtle changes may be around this date rate (give or take).Mine is a 2015 I Series and seems to incorporate all the new changes. Sold in July 2015.Dial - AP LogoAfter/during 2015 - I Series - Fatter AP Logo, P is wider and space between the A and P is wider, less distinctiv
No longer an owner of AP ROO's
I regret to inform you that I sold both of my ROO's (BB & Rubberclad). I wasn't wearing them as much as my Daytona and I thought I sell my 2 assets and reduce my depreciation since the new line of ROO's are 44 and AP is slowly closing down on 42mm line.I enjoy my AP's Rubberclad for 4 years and my BB for 2 and I was happy till I started not to wear them. I am now wearing my Daytona SS everday 24/7, god knows which watch I'll be purchasing in the future. I dont mind a PP Nautilus 5980 in a couple of years time. For now I'll rotate between my PAM 339 and Daytona 116520.
Sell my speedmaster pro 3570 for ...
... the same watch? I bought mine NOS from a chain watch store in their pre-owned section. I wish I had bought it new: for no real reason ... just that new watch, only mine feeling. Absolutely nothing wrong with the watch, it's great. Now I have a chance to sell it to a friend. But I would just go to the Omega Boutique and buy another one. Maybe get the sapphire caseback so I can see that movement! Kind of dumb, I know ...
Speedmaster trituim dials - feet?
Excuse my ignorance but can someone tell me whether speedmaster pro dials should have feet on? Theres one appeared on ebay and it says no feet - would it have had feet? Can't be sure from the photos. Thanks, Alan
16710 P Serial Number Rolex Logo Dial HELP
Greetings, I am relatively new to the forum but found the feedback from my first post quite helpful.Last week I did a trade plus cash deal for a new to me, P Serial Number 16710 (no box or papers). The seller is a licensed Jeweler who has been in the secondary watch market for over 30 years and he has a physical location in the French Quarter of New Orleans. I have known him about ten years and sold him several Rolex as well as he purchases (and pays the best in town) for scrap gold and silver. I trust him, but we can all get fooled...with that said, while looking at my new watch under a strong loupe, I found three items that are giving me mild heart palpitations (please see photos):1. The under line on the L in the ROLEX seems to be wavy, like two bumps before it straightens out.2. Same for the under line in in the E in ROLEX.3. A small white smudge of font under the S in GMT MASTER III hope I am not being too nit picky, but this is a reference I have wanted for years and just want to
