RG RB2 vs RG Schumacher
Big decision up ahead for me. Making some moves to acquire one of the above. Keen to get people's opinions. Tried to set up a poll but couldn't figure out how.
My dad's vintage Omega...
Hoping the good people here might be able to help tell us more about this piece my dad inherited - it's been serviced by Omega, had a new crystal but otherwise largely untouched as far as he knows. 1970s?
Get those 5070's .
So we know that Patek made 4 limited editions ( eachr 5070) for their exhibition in London. What surprised me the most was the price.Know that these are EXACTLY the same watches as the other 5070's, same case, same movement, same reference same dial …. only the dial has another color.Look at these prices ….Reference………..price in GBP…………price in Euro…………price in USD5070G-014…………89.000…………………..125.000……………….135.0005070J-012………….81,500…………………..115.000……………….125.0005070P-013……….111,000…………………..155.000……………….170.0005070R-014…………88,000……………………125.00
Do the new ceramic Daytonas make noises?
Happened to get a chance to try on a WG Daytona with OF and loved the weight. However when I shook it close to my ear I could hear some movement noises like somethin moving in circles (probably the rotor) and I could hear the seconds ticking beautifully. Unlike the submariner I barely hear anything unless I really listen hard in a quiet environment Is the 4130 movement suppose to exhibit such behaviour?
Insurance Question - New Day-Date
Hey Guys,I'm considering buying a new day-date (118238) and want to make sure I cover the insurance side of things properly. First of all, I live in Canada (which may or may not matter). Also, I already have an OP 116000, and a Datejust 116234 which I also want to have properly insured. So, here is my situation: My current home insurance (TD Meloche Monnex) has an endorsement for up to $50,000 for jewelry covering all risks (which includes mysterious disappearance, robbery, etc), and this endorsement has a $1,000 deductible. The endorsement only costs me an extra $200 per year. My agent told me as long as my watches have accepted appraisals on file with the policy that they would be fully covered (except for the deductible of course). I have already done this for my current two watches of course. I also looked into adding floaters for the watches, and was told the price increase would be about 2% of the appraised value of the item, per year, so in the case of the day-date, something
