Much of the attention given to A. Lange & S?hne focuses on its more complicated watches, like the Pour le M��rite Tourbillon, the Zeitwerk, and even the Grand Complication, but Lange knows how to do simplicity too. At SIHH 2014, Lange released an updated version of the classic time-only 1815 in a smaller 38.5mm case, available in yellow, pink, and white gold. The new 1815 retains many of the design features of its predecessor and will be produced alongside the old 1815 instead of replacing it. Durability of the Royal Oak SS
I went to try on a Royal Oak today in Stainless, black face and loved the watch for its comfort, by far the best lugs and bracelet on a watch I've ever felt but all the guy kept saying is how fragile the watch was and how easily it scratches and marks, how it's not an everyday wear and more a piece for a collection. Thoughts and opinions on this?

PP deployant vs pin buckle
Deployant or pin buckle, which do you prefer and why? I'm about to pick up a new watch (pictures next week) and it's platinum with a pin buckle and I'm considering converting to a deployant. Due to cost concerns Tracy the strap lady at H. Stern suggested white gold which makes sense, it's 2K cheaper. I've heard the deployant is more secure when taking the watch on and off and the pin buckle is more secure in terms of the watch staying on the wrist and not falling off inadvertently. Is this correct? I've owned the 5205 with pin buckle and it seemed to pull the watch to one side of my wrist. I've tried on a 5960 with deployant and the fit was perfect, the shape of my wrist seems to be ok with the deployant and from what I've read that is sometimes a problem. Thanks in advance for your answers.

I swear I am done....
I have been on the hunt for this for a while now after a couple of quick transactions from TS'ers here in our community. But I expanded my search criteria about 100 miles from home and got an email yesterday after only a couple of weeks that what I was searching for had arrived! AD, no line to speak of, really nice family owned store and I will continue to give them business whenever I am looking for something. But I think there is not much else on my list at the moment, at least from Rolex. First impressions are that I absolutely love the 43mm being accustomed to 42mm offshores and think the wear is similar, if not a bit smaller. Dial is gorgeous, red just pops and I think it will be a fantastic daily! LOVE IT!Thanks to all of those current owners I PM'd with questions, was very helpful! Quick shots below!
