Chef Anthony Bourdain And His Ernst Benz ChronoFlite World Timer Watch
I recently wrote about chef Mario Batali and the special Ernst Benz Chronoscope for in his honor/image. A lot of people felt very strongly about it. Some people liked it, some people didn't, but most sorta voiced a general dissent of Mario Batali himself. Well, the man does use lots of butter and oil in his cooking, but the orange watch done for him by Ernst Benz wasn't half bad. Mario Batali isn't the only celebrity chef to wear an Ernst Benz watch. One of my favorite TV chefs also has one, and can be seen wearing it his show on the Travel Channel, "No Reservations." I am of course talking about New Yorker Anthony Bourdain. He looks cool and eats just about anything. That is basically his shtick. Others have come after him to do the same, but no one is as suave about it, or seems to actually enjoy what they are eating quite like Tony. In addition to cooking, traveling, writing, and being on TV, Mr. Bourdain might also be one of us - a watch lover. Hard to say how he came to own his Ern
Hands-On: A Critical Comparison Of The Seiko Eichi II, Laurent Ferrier Galet Micro-Rotor, And Philippe Dufour Simplicity
Seiko is associated primarily with a wide range of moderately priced and reliable watches, but surprisingly, the watchmaking division operates within the diversified conglomerate Seiko Group, whose many specialties include upscale department stores, printers, semiconductors, machine tools, and of course, watches. Seiko has deep roots in timekeeping – founder Kintaro Hattori started to produce clocks in 1892 under the name Seikosha, and in 1969, almost swept the Swiss watchmaking industry off its feet with the introduction of Astron, the first commercial quartz watch. The brand has an enthusiastic collector base and an unparalleled breadth in the lineup that stretches from mainstream quartz to haute-horlogerie, something that is unique in the watchmaking industry, and a depth that is surprising given the wide spectrum of businesses the parent company is involved in.Seikosha translates to “House of Exquisite Workmanship,” and Seiko’s high-end Credor line takes thi
Introducing: The Montblanc TwinFly Chronograph 110 Years
In addition to the Montblanc TimeWalker ExoTourbillon Minute Chronograph, Montblanc has released another chronograph as part of their 4810 Collection for 2016: The 4810 TwinFly Chronograph. Back in 2012, Montblanc released the first TwinFly and it was a major hit. This year’s TwinFly Chronograph features the flyback chronograph function, dual-time and 24-hour indication. 1 OF 2 The watch is rather large and is in a 43 mm steel case with rectangular chronograph pushers flanking the crown. The dial is silvered guilloché with applied red gold plated Roman numerals. The vertical subsidiary dials display the 24-hour indication (with a small world globe on the top) and the date on the bottom. The chronograph is indicated by the longer blued-steel, red-tipped hand and the second time zone is signified by the shorter skeletonized blued-steel hand. The movement is the newly developed caliber MB LL100.1 and uses a traditional column wheel and vertical clutch system for
Coctel de Camaron and my Offshore
Finally warming up a little bit here in Chicago. Therefore, time for ceviches and other sea delicacies from Mexico. Coctel de Camaron is the way we eat shrimp cocktail in Mexico. Does anyone have an all gold sub AND the 2 tone?
I thought for sure this would cover my adoration of the bluesy. Weirdly I find myself looking at the bluesy online, then reminding myself I already have the full gold.Strange. It's stunning. I'm over the moon about it. It will never leave me, but it's still quite different than the bluesy. Or, I'm mentally illHaven't decided yet.
