Like all Rolex watches, this is a watch i'm not afraid to use and wear. It has a domed sapphire crystal over the face, and a sapphire crystal back which exposes the beautiful 8501 caliber movement that boasts an 18ct. red gold rotor and balance bridge to match the rest of the case. See-through casebacks are fairly common these days, but what is different about this watch is that it also has sapphire crystal sides (all around the watch, including between the lugs).
