SIHH 2016 Preview: Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda Mtrographe Abyss Blue
Parmigiani Fleurier recently released a preview of one of its four new Tonda Mtro?timepieces, which the brand will officially launch in Geneva this January, at the 2016 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH).The launch of the new collection will showcase the work of a talented photographer that the Parmigiani manufacture worked with and will feature four cities around the globe, each representing a different Tonda Mtro model. Chicago is the first city chosen, and will represent the new Parmigiani Tonda Mtrographe Abyss Blue (shown). Three more yet-to-be-announced models will follow. The Parmigiani Tonda Mtrographe Abyss Blue features a distinctive, blue-colored dial, which requires the careful skill of the brand's master dial maker to create. To create this special shade of blue is no easy task. Old school Breitling Navitimer
Given to me by my father. The second of his two nice watches he ever bought. This one he bought as he used to fly.He owned a Single Prop back when I was young, wantedme to learn to fly and was going to give me the plane...After a couple lessons I realized I liked to party too muchand didn't like to get up that early (this was when I was incollege and high school) but most importantly I just didn'tlike being in control of the plane... I am a great passengerbut don't wanna have the stick...I wear it a couple times a month, it is not my typical stylewatch but I like it and always get compliments on it.IF anyone here knows more about the history of this modelI'd love to hear...
LiquidMetal: does it live up to hype?
I currently do not own an Omega, but saw that at least one of their models has a Liquidmetal case. If someone owns one, I would appreciate feedback on scratch resistance and weight compared to Titanium or other metals.I visited the Liquidmetal website and naturally it placed LM above Ti, steel, etc. in all categories. And Apple has made several proprietary contracts with LM, suggesting the iPhone6 or another Apple device will have a LM case. But I was hoping to hear from an owner about the LM properties. And if it is so great, why aren't other major watch makers using it?Thanks in advance.
Panerai 47mm vs 44mm..... How BIG a Difference?
For those of you that think a Panerai 44mm watch is just tooooooo big, take a look at the difference between a 44 and a 47 side by side!Cheers!
Buying Dayona as investment
watchesbysjx/2016/06/prud...a-ceramic.htmlI have no clue if I am pasting this link correctly. I also tried searching and I could not find this on here before. It probably was so no one jump all over me for the try the search option.I found this to be a very interesting read on the Daytona craze. It also discussed the Milgauss being uber popular back in the day, which I did not know. I thought others might find this interesting too so I am posting this.
