Help needed
Guys, I have a couple of Rolex, seldom wear them any longer but nonetheless don't need to move them, they have a place and I like wearing them occasionally. I have a number of modern PP, 5170, 5524, 5905, 5980R, 5711, 5167. I think that each watch should stand on it's own, so I never try to fill a hole.I have two AP's - 44 Rose and a 42 ROO black & red. I like the 44, this is the second go around with it, yet I seldom wear it. The ROO 42 never gets worn, it and the Aquanaght have been worn less than 10 hours each in the past six months.Thinking of moving the Aquanaught and the ROO for a 42 ROO Rose 26470OR.OO.A002CR.01Does this make any sense? the 44 and the 42?? If you were to have just one would the 44 or 42 be the one? What about the 42 on bracelet? Your thoughts on these three is much appreciated.
Unexpected purchase in HK
Was having a holiday in Hong Kong and wasn't expecting to buy another watch since I just got my new 26470 grey less than a month. Still on honeymoon.😍I did thought of getting the beautiful ROO Diver white dial for my casual usage as I did find the 26470 grey a bit formal for casual usage. Was casually checking around some ADs and most of them either do not have stock for the white dial or discount wasn't good.On my last day in HK, I came across this AP boutique which was newly opened. Just trying my luck if they have the white dial and if I could get a reasonable discount. They have the white dial! After a short negotiation, I was surprised that I could get a better discount from them than ADs. In fact the price after discount was quite close to my regular grey dealer (cash term) in Singapore which I bought my 26470 from.I decided to pull the trigger since it was quite a good price for a boutique and I did not have to pay in cash. No additional charge for credit card. I also did
AP 42mm Steel Diver Vs. PAM 111 44mm - Fit wise...
Hi All,Perhaps a strange question...but this might help manage my expectations / give me something to ruminate on for now.I think my 44mm PAM 111 fits my 6.5 wrist pretty nicely.I have not tried on the AP diver yet - tho I will. Wondering if folks who have both watches - or who have tried both watches can comment. The 41mm RO 15400 feels way too big on me...the 15300 - also on the potential hit list - fits well, but is hard to find. Are the Diver's lugs curved differently Vs. the 15400 so that the larger size may sit better ala the PAM for me?At any rate, sorry for the rambling, but I wanted some food for thought before I try one on.Cheers.
