First Speedy Pro Purchase!!
Hi All!Had a quick question regarding my first Speedy Pro purchase soon! Unfortunately I was too late to get my hands on the Limited Edition Speedy Pro from Omega, so back to the drawing board. I need some answers from the people to tell me what exactly they love about the 1861 / 1863 / Hesalite / Sapphire. Has anyone had these 2 in their possession at the same time to compare? Pictures to do it justice?I also heard that the 1861 was only Speedy Pro certified for EVA? As the 1863 was just approved for flight and not EVA. Is this true? Just wanted to know, since that is a really cool fact about Omega and the watch itself. I personally like the First Watch Worn on the Moon on the back of mine.Let me all know what you think, this would be a great help going forward! Thanks Again!Nick

is this watch all sold out now, or would some retailers still have it ?anyone see any around
Which is the best Nauilus/Submariner Combination among
If you could choose one Nautilus and one Rolex Sub, which combo would you choose?
Practical advice appreciated.
ChapsI have acquired 5 Rolex over the last 3 years and the honest truth is that I would like to finish off the collection with a Patek Philippe.I am currently attracted to the 5396G purely on appearance and also I want to go down the annual / perpetual calendar route and this brings me to my main question. Also please bear in mind that my technical knowledge of PP is below average. The question is - Are there any practical differences in owning either a perpetual or annual calendar watch. For instance is there much difference in setting up the time / date etc between the two and also are there different maintenance issues. Also any are there any pros and cons of owning either of these. Also is there any problems with buying the older models ?Due to my lack of knowledge I will probably buy from an established retailer but any advice on this would be appreciated. I am, incidentally, based in the UK.RegardsMick
New Patek owner with questions!
Glad to finally be part of this esteemed group! I got a 5712R as my first and quickly realized this isn't a Rolex. For one, I read you have to jam a screwdriver to manually change moonphase. If the watch runs out of power reserve and you set it again with the crown, will the moonphase update with it?Also this watch is on a strap, which is my first also. Do these Pateks offer solid water resistance? If I accidentally leave the crown open, is it still waterproof like a Rolex? Is it ok to jump in the pool?If I need to service my Patek, is there a local Service Center like Rolex does in Beverly Hills? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
