DD40 or 5726?
Looking to get something to rotate with my 5167 Aquanaut and BLNR for daily wear. I don't wear suits- usually wear scrubs at work and casual clothes. For meetings usually long sleeve shirt and slacks/ khakis/ or jeans. I'm strongly considering a DD40 in WG (Rhodium dial) or a 5726 (probably gray but would love a white dial). Might choose strap over bracelet but not sure. I should be able to try on both this week. I wash my hands 100x/day so a bracelet or composite strap is a must. What are the pros and cons of each? I'm a little worried the DD may be too dressy looking with scrubs and casual clothes. Anyone who has owned these please comment (or better yet, if you've owned both). I've always wanted a Day-Date. Consider it my dream Rolex. The Patek with complications and moon phase is equally if not more appealing. Can only afford one. Thoughts?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Does anyone know what the large metal "dot" is on the back of a 324 movement?
I've always wondered what the dot is for, is it the backing of a screw that has the screw head on the dial side of the movement? Is it something else?It can be seen in the photo below at 2:00 on the Patek movement.https://.rolexforums/attachme...1&d=1491951919
Incoming..... finally
After a couple of months of searching and debating, slepless nights LOL... I have finally pulled the trigger. I want to thank my wife, Carl, Anders and Mike. You guys helped me see the light and I am thrilled with the outcome. Best of both worlds in my book. With out further delay.... God s gift this Christmas. And merry Christmas to you all. Excuse the phone pics.
My Coke GMT Master II arrived and I need your thoughts
Please help me decide on this one. I paid $6,990, plus 3% credit card fee and about $50 shipping on this watch. The pictures on the website reflected that it had a T < 25 dial, but as you can see it has a SWISS service dial and since it is an E serial, this can't be right. Also, are the lugs over polished in your opinion? Thanks!
