Recall Your Math Classes With The Fortis 2pi Watch
When it comes to the so-called "art watches," there are a few brands that I would offer up as creating watches of this nature. Funnily enough, until today, Fortis was not a brand that I would have put into that category. As it is largely a dial-based sort of effort, though, it would not be a surprise to see, well, any brand create something like this. That said, with the help of Rolf Sachs, we now have the Fortis 2pi available for us.Apparently, the Fortis 2pi is part of the Terrestis collection which was recently introduced, but of course, this model is something of a different nature. Looking at the dial, you see what looks almost like a whiteboard with various geometry-related things scribbled down, with two pi symbols showing up as part of calculations that one would expect to result in approximations for the angles?at?the?2 o'clock and 5 o'clock positions. Nevertheless,?they have other lines and curves in play, which add some additional color to the dial. In all of that, I think m
Lazy Sunday
Had a lazy stroll around the park on Sunday morning with the 15300 for company and decided to take a few snaps along the way Thanks for looking folks
I think that my Diver is covered for options
Back when Panerai wasn't very well known and I was in love with the brand. I went a little overboard on straps. I had boxes with just about every permutation imaginable. I've been a little more restrained with my AP Diver. Many Thanks to YYZPAM for helping out.Bracelet on the watch and Left to right:AP OEM Rubber Strap, AP OEM Survivor Strap, AP OEM Black Hornback on the Black Survivor Buckle. I think that should do it?
Some updates from my dealer:
Looks like the dreaded price increases did not affect the standard mainline watches; i.e., stainless Speedmasters and Seamasters. As for the newer pieces, he has four of the LE Bond watches in stock. I am so old that the only Bond for me is Sean Connery and he wore a Rolex but having seen the LE Bond in the steel, I must say that I am impressed. For those of us interested in the First Omega in Space (I call it the Schirra Speedy), he has no news as to when it might arrive. The official word remains September. The order list is growing but I'm still #1.Fr. John?
PAM384 opinions
Hello! First time poster alert. Have toyed with the idea of buying a Panerai over the past several years and feel more ready now to make a purchase. After seeing a PAM384 at an AD I have found myself pretty much settled on one however opinions are rather sparse online. Does anyone own or have experience of the 384? I would most like buy in the uk, second on my list would be a PAM643.
