Planet Ocean - Im impressed!
Just thought I would give you my first impression of this watch. Planet Ocean is loyal to its history - the design is in many ways similar to the classic Seamaster 300 from 1957. It could be worse... The watch is substantial with its 42mm, and 15mm thickness and... 185 grams weight. It feels solid in every way (although its a bit to Rolex when it comes to feeling). The movement is great. -2 sec per day is just fine by me, and the Co-Axial makes the watch even more sturdy (the guarantee is due to this three years, compared to the ordinary two years). One of the most impressive things about this watch is that its so comfortable. Although its size and weight, it fits the arm perfectly. And the crown thats used to irritate the skin doesnt do so with the PO. Top score in the departement in other words. The family is together - and smiling. Thanks for looking.
Patek 5726A?
Spent some time today with this:Loving it... Can't get it out of my mind... I had been considering a rolex skydweller but you just can't compare. The 5726 is far ahead with the moon phase, day display, clear caseback, extra strap included (to name a few advantages)...Thoughts? Wait for the 5960/1A to make sure I won't have any regrets? Thanks much.
Interested in a Panerai
Hey guys, I've decided my next move will be to expand my collection outside of Rolex. I've settled on 3 pieces max, and would like one of those pieces to be a Panerai. I really don't know much about the various Panerai models so I figured here would be a good place to start. So far I have: Rolex GMT 16710 Coke bezel I would like:Breitling Superocean Heritage 42 black dial on rubber. Panerai??????A little about me: I'm pretty casual; jeans and t-shirt to work, casual athletic wear outside of work. I don't have a huge wrist, so I think the max size I could do is 45mm. I very rarely dress up, so dressy watches are not my taste. In terms of Panerai styling, I really enjoy painted numerals (vs sandwich) and gold hands. I'm not fussy on a glass case back, nor do I need a seconds hand or date (but don't mind either)I really enjoy the tobacco brown dials Panerai puts out but I would also be okay with a black dial. I would prefer automatic over manual wind but it's not a deal breaker. I already
SD43 or HULK ?
I can either wait up to a month for the SD43 or leave with the Hulk today. What would you choose?
Would you buy AP or PP over a SS Rolex at current prices?
Given my last thread on current SS price markups and if you had the $$, would you buy any AP, PP over a $18k SS Markup. A quick perusal through the non Rolex FS section brought up some nice examples of each. I am coming around to buying an AP ROO 15400 instead.
