Cacheux Elephant Automatic Watch
This is a watch that I really never thought was going to be made. It started out as a concept watch called the "Galibier" based upon a concept car from Bugatti with the same name. Fabien Cacheux designed it to have a perlage decorated "drum case," Bugatti logo, and an interesting strap system. Less than a year later, a more practical version of the piece is being made - but in very limited quantities and it will be called the "Cacheux Elephant Automatic."Although France based Cacheux tries to explain the "Elephant" name, I still don't quite get it. I need your help. I am no Patek expert but i frequent this forum to admire all your stunning PP. Maybe not now but in the future for sure i will have a PP in my collection.I have a question in dire need of your suggestion. What would be the market value of the Patek Phillippe 5101P 10 days Tourbillon? Was in the market to add a companion to my 116610lv and BLNR. Polled TRF recently and many suggested a DJ to compliment my pair. Well I went out on a limb and pulled the trigger on this one. What do you all think? Not sure if I'm a TT kind of person, but have the chance to exchange this for a rhodium dial with smooth bezel and jubilee bracelet if I want.
