Complicated Watches: 7 Standout Tourbillon Watches
Baselworld 2015 is over, and we’ve seen a number of new tourbillon watches among the offerings. Here’s a look back at the most interesting, clever, and daring variations on the now-ubiquitous tourbillon watch presented in this year and last year.. For its Breguet Classique Tourbillon Quantime Perpetuel, which combines a tourbillon with a perpetual calendar, Breguet (the modern brand named for the tourbillon’s inventor) strove for an intuitive display of the indications by lifting the hours and minutes chapter to the foreground of the dial, above the one-minute tourbillon at 6 o'clock. A triple hand on the tourbillon cage indicates the seconds, a subdial at 9 o'clock with an engine-turned wave pattern shows the days, and a blued steel hand at 3 o'clock points to the months on another subdial with an engine-turned sunburst finish. At this subdial’s center, a blue sun provides the leap year indication. For more on this watch (including live photos taken at Baselwo
Versace Instrumento N Uno watch is set in a black matt stainless steel case
The men will enjoy three designs, developed at the height of the modern art. Each gents version of the Versace Instrumento N Uno watch is set in a black matt stainless steel case, coupled with a black alligator leather strap. The star of the fabulous collection is available with a white gold case, illuminated by the play of 240 white baguette-cut diamonds. The face of this charming novelty is artfully brightened by 148 specimens of the same precious stone. A shimmering play of diamonds magnifies the allure of the timepiece and places the dual time zone display in the spotlight.
5980/1A Availability
I know this is a long shot given it's discontinued now, but is it possible to find a white 5980/1A new from an AD? Anyone have any leads they could send my way? Really love the piece but wife is adamant about AD only, so this one may be out unless an AD's got one in the safe somewhere. Many thanks in advance and apologies if asking for help finding one is taboo, please feel free to delete if so!
5205r
Hi all,I am new to this forum. I am not a collector per-se, but I enjoy having one nice time piece at a time...My previous time piece history goes as follows...Many years ago my first piece was a platinum bezel Rolex Yachtmaster, then I gravitated to a few Panerai for a while with a few different models....then I bought my first AP which was a titanium offshore, followed by a Rose Gold Rubberclad (last series with the updated gold trim sub-dials and I put an RBII strap on it, LOVED that watch) and lastly a chocolate dial Day-Date II. I am between pieces right now and am looking at my next move and am strongly considering a 5205R. I would like to hear everyone's opinion on this piece A. for daily use and B. re-sale value. My dealer has re-assured me 5205R with black dial's desirability is strong and values hold well, I got offered by him a brand new sealed black dial with un-dated papers for $38,500. Unfortunately, since it is sealed he does not want to pull it out of the plastics and b
