Submariner v GMT-Master II
Hello everyone,I've come to the point, where I need a Rolex in my watch collection. I've narrowed it down to two models, but what are your opinions?I'm up for a watch for the purpose of fine use - dressy. I've called different ads around Denmark and even Germany, but apparently the Rolex Submariner has a waiting list at every AD. Is the supply short on global scale or mainly in europe?
Sub: eternal shortage??
A Forum commentator put the following: I'm looking to pull the trigger soon, and I have noticed that used 114060 prices seem to be more than brand newThis is nothing new...We all know that this is due to one thing friendsSHORTAGE .. and even if we do not like it, it is a reality. My question is for all Forum's friends:Do you think that the supply of the Submariner will ever be restored or will the shortage be eternal as it is with the Daytona?I was in a prestigious dealer in my city and saw lots of different Rolex models ... I think more than a hundred. I can also access the price list and it is impossible for me to count all the models. I suppose the idea of Rolex is to sell all the models that are produced, not just the sports ones. In my humble opinion I think the shortage of the Submariner is going to be eternal.
rolex daytona 116520 and its series
in the Rolex 116520 is there any series or year that has more or less value than others? or is it still early to look for series in this model? In my opinion, a series with lyrics is always better than the last random ones
Automobile Magazine - 8 page homage to the Daytona
January 2018 print version page 88. Sorry - no link. I didn’t see it on their site.As a Daytona guy - it’s really good stuff. All they needed was Dr. Tom. They go into the history of Rolex and Motorsport, luminaries who wear them because they love them like Hurley Haywood to brand ambassadors like Jackie Stewart to Scott Pruitt who has won 15(!) Daytonas. Naturally they discuss Paul Newman and in the same way we do here on TRF make that car/watch connection.“Like a Porsche 911, the Rolex Daytona is instantly recognizable, and over the years changes to both have been incremental rather than evolutionary”
