Fr��d��rique Constant Launches 3 New Runabouts
In 2009 Fr��d��rique Constant launched the limited edition Runabout series designed to celebrate the legendary Runabout yachts of the roaring 20s, which can still be seen today on Lake Geneva. For 2010, Fr��d��rique Constant is bringing out 3 new special edition Runabout watches in limited editions of 1888 pieces for each series in honor of the brand's continued involvement with and support of the annual H��lice Classique yacht meet, organized by the Societ�� Nautique de Gen��ve. The star of the new series is the 43mm Runabout Manufacture Power Reserve with manufacture power reserve movement. The case is hand-polished and the dial is decorated with ��Clous de Paris' guilloche in the center. The power reserve indicator at 12 0’clock informs the owner how much of the available 42 hours remains. Patek 5980/1R
Whilst on my travels in Florence I visited the PP dealer on the Ponte Vecchio and a very kind sales woman showed me a 5980/1R that had just arrived that morning! She explained that it will never be put in the window and that it will only be brought out to people showing interest in the Nautilus range or offered to their best customers. She also explained that they get one SS model of a few references a year which are sold to her top Italian customers. A cool story I thought I would share, if you ever get the chance I would highly recommend visiting! There is also a quirky AP Boutique on the bridge.

5167A with brown rubber strap?
G'day everyone.. Just wondering anyone tried using 5167R's brown rubber strap on a 5167A? I am thinking about it but I am not sure how it will look. The center of the dial on the ss looks a tad of brown in certain angle in different lighting so I wonder.. Thank you very much for your kind feedbacks. Cheers! .. Jennifer

5960R Power Reserve indicator problem?
I just got a 5960R and I noticed the Power Reserved indicator may be broken. As you can see, it is pointing at 5.25. See this pic: I assume when the power reserve indicator should not go outside of the + and - range (10 and 2 o'clock), am I correct?I look into the manual and searched around the internet and could not find a conclusive answer.Please help!

Broke the glass of my PAM219
It had to happen one day! While I was putting on the watch, I accidently dropped it from about chest height. It fell face down on the tiles in the kitchen. The crown guard got dented and there is a crack on the glass at 6 o'clock.Went to Panerai 5 hours later and brought it in for glass replacement. Verdict = 200 USD. I specifically asked not go repair anything else, nor polish it. I like it when my watch looks rugged but I can't stand the glass being broken.I did however asked them to check if everything is alright with the movement. It kept time between dropping it and bringing it in, so I suspect no harm was done on the movement. They will do that free of charge.
