SIHH 2015: IWC Portugieser Annual Calendar (Updated with Live Photos and Prices)
The new IWC Portugieser Annual Calendar, part of the brand’s “Year of the Portugieser” at SIHH 2015, is a timepiece that marks two IWC firsts: its in-house movement is equipped with an innovative annual calendar mechanism and also boasts a two-barrel, seven-day power reserve. In keeping with IWC tradition at SIHH, the brand has devoted the lion’s share of its development and marketing efforts on one of its collections; this year, the Portuguese family gets its time in the spotlight. Kicking off IWC’s latest Year of the Portugieser is this new annual calendar watch (Ref. 5035), containing the new IWC Caliber 52850.The dial of the IWC Portugieser Annual Calendar displays the month, date, and day, in that order, in three semi-circular windows at 12 o’clock. This “American-style” date indication, which uses three individual disks, is an homage to IWC’s American-born founder, Florentine Ariosto Jones. The watch’s seven-day (168-hour
Royal Oak 25594 dial change
Hello TRF. I'm interested in this watch, but unfortunately the black dial I'm so obsessed about is hard to come by around here. Might end up with a white dial, does anyone have any experience changing the dial? Would like to know what are my options.Cheers!Edit: let me rephrase. Changing the dial should be possible, but as these are older models, what are my chances of finding a dial?
Definitely RG!
Was just wondering if i should get the 44mm ROO SS or RG.. Please comment price/value/appearance/rareness! And oh.. pictures please
My last Speedmaster Pro....for now
Life feels pretty good today.I sourced a mint Soyuz (Speedeorite). It even had the stickers still on it.Man, this is an impressive dial. I also own a WG Daytona, but the Meteorite dial available for that watch just never did it for me in person. I find it lacking in contrast. This meteorite dial is another matter altogether. My speedmasters:1969 Mark II on MeshStandard issue Moonwatch on Hirsch RubberGemini IVSoyuz.I think i am satisfied....
Any alternatives to OP for crystal replacement?
I have a small scratch on my sapphire crystal and called Panerai NYC to see how much it would cost to replace. They would not get specific on pricing (must be sent in for an estimate) but they said it would be at least $300 plus they would have to evaluate the entire watch. They conceded it would take about a month to get the crystal replaced if they had it in stock. So my question -- are there any alternatives to going through OP that might be quicker and/or less expensive?
