41mm ROC owners...How many out there?
The 26320 is gaining more and more of my attention lately.Haven't been able to see one in the metal though. Just wanted to see who could share their experiences with new ROC.The more pics and opinions, the better.
Is it a possibility to even see a 9300 movement in a smaller case?
I absolutely LOVE (dial, date, etc) the 44.25mm 9300 Speedmaster, however it looks too large on my 7 wrist and I was curious and hoping to see that movement in a smaller case. Is it even a possibility to see Omega release a smaller version (41-42mm) of the Speedmaster Date with the 9300 movement?
Strapped
About 6 weeks ago, my beloved Omega X-33 NASA kevlar strap broke. It lived a good life, providing me with several years of faithful service. That meant I had to use the Speedy on a 6 years old 40 dollar strap that was carefully shaped to look like alligator. It was okay, but it too was showing the age and for something at that price point I just could not ask for any more years of service out of it.Long story short, I stopped by Bachendorf's on my way home and I bought a Hadley Roma Select Crocodile strap, 20/18 with white stitching. It was quite pricey but they made me a good deal on it so I got it around 40% off. It did not look much different from the cheap one I had for half a decade but once on the watch, it made all the difference and I think it looks great! One dilemma remains:Should I use it with the deployant that I stuck on it as soon as I got home and extend the life or should I use it with the OEM Omega buckle that I bought for the kevlar strap?
Ooopps I did it again... watch incoming!
That is what I get for lurking here so much... I told myself no new watches this year... not a chance... will NOT spend the money ... but then I stumbled upon this evil thread:.rolexforums/showthrea...313#post981313The will is strong but the flesh is weak... especially after seeing Chips incredibel pics!Chris the seller & I sealed the deal today. GMT 16700, 20th birthday
Nothing profound or exciting by forum standards ....20 years ago today I bought this 16700.10 years ago I had it Rolex serviced.I should treat it to another service but it's going nicely and I couldn't subject it to spending it's birthday in the workshop.
