In 3 weeks I will be driving to AD to get my very first Patek, Nautilus 5712-1A.Ad has received it 1 week ago. Waiting for the day to come has been BRUTAL!!!!Have a few questions for Patek Owners:1) how often do you service your Patek? Do you follow recommendation per Patek recommendations?2) how do you clean your Nautilus? 3) do you use watch winder for Patek with minor complication? Tips for avoiding unnecessary scratches?
I'm excited to start wearing my DJ41 daily soon!Before I do, I'd like to hear about some tips to help avoid unnecessary scratching. Particularly with desk diving, what can I do to keep the clasp from scratching excessively on my MacBook Pro? Like a rubber grip? Or something that also doubles as an ergonomic cushion for your wrists?Now, before you scathe me for trying to keep the watch looking new, I don't plan on babying my watch. It WILL be used daily. But at the same time, I don't want to abuse it unnecessarily.I think of it similar to how I like making sure my dress shoes look their best (shoe trees, conditioning, polish, etc.). Ex: I avoid unnecessary puddles, but I'll still wear them if there's some rain. This way I walk tall, they look great AND they are kept healthy.What's the equivalent I should do for my new watch?
