Got my first AP! (With some poorly taken pics)
After 5 years of flipping watches.. finally got enough scratch together to get the first of my Grail watches. I am now the proud owner (Thanks to Matt.Wu on the forums, fantastic gent, who i'd refer to anyone) of a AP 15400 Silver/White Dial.Couldn't be happier. Have to say though - this thing picks up dust like that it's job.... it's stunning though.Honestly, as a dress watch, I'm in love. as an out of the office doing a pub crawl, I'm terrified.Need to get a SD or Seiko as a beater and for diving again....ASAP.First of the Trinity down! Diver band ques
Today's token dumb question. Just received my new XS strap for the diver. Removing the strap from the watch is obvious. However, taking the buckle off the other strap is not obvious. How do I do this? TIA
Speedmaster polishing?
Hi,Just purchased my first Speedy a couple weeks ago, a 2002 3572.50 Hesalite sandwich. It is in need of a polishing on the case, bracelet and hesalite front crystal. Aside from sending off for service, can anyone recommend a DIY home polishing to at least clean it up a bit?
Omega Military Purchase Program
Following the latest shuttle mission I see all these X-33s on astronauts wrists (and a Speedmaster on a space walk). I guess the X-33 did not sell, but it is still provided to NASA personal and to the military. Under the Military Purchase Program pilots must buy their own watches, but at substantial discounts (+70%) and must order in quanities of at least 10. If they order 15 or more they can have their squadron and call-sign engraved on the back. You have to be an active member of the military to qualify.Apparenty Omega also provide the Special Boat Service (U.K. Navy Seals) with the Bond (blue) GMT and and the SAS with Planet Oceans but only Omega knows if this is correct and they are not saying.It would be nice to see the X-33, or a replacement sold to the pubic again.
