15400 vs SubC Date Size?
Question to those who own both.....how does the 15400 compare in actual 'wearable' size to the ceramic Submariner date? I know the SubC is 40mm, and the 15400 is 41mm, but I would think the Sub wears/looks larger due to the bezel and extended lugs? Any help would be great (and pictures even better)!
Rose Gold AP 26022 or Everose Rolex 116515
It seems a lot of Rolex owners cross over to AP. If you had the choice, which one would you choose (seem fairly close in price range)? The AP is iconic and stunning. However the chocolate dial on the Rolex is scintillating and unique. Sent from my 16M
Got the Apollo 15th today
Another smooth transaction with George (Kringkily). I decided to sell my omega 15000 gauss for this. Loved the 15000 guess but found it heavy after while and didn't feel very comfortable compare to my milgauss GV. So decided to add another speedy to the collection instead.image.jpg
Patek price increase trend
I was wondering how Patek prices have increased relative to other luxury goods. I found this luxury goods index:.forbes/sites/scottdec...the-good-life/The index says luxury prices today are 4.33 times what they were in 1982.A Patek Calatrava is listed in the index at $20,800. Any idea what a Calatrava was in 1982 (the beginning of the chart) in 1982 dollars?
Finally got the call/text last night!
After almost 5 months wait, I got the call/text from my dealer. This watch will be for my wife, but I am still excited to get it for her.Several things mentioned during the conversation with the owner.1. He said he spoke to President of Rolex (maybe North America?) at the Rolex Daytona. Who told him the production will remain the same, but since the demand is higher, watches (sports models) will remain hard to get in 2018.2. Rolex's solution to the shortage is to redesign small show case to hold less watch( how does that solve the shortage?), which I have read in another thread. 3. Price increase is coming. This one he did not hear from the President of Rolex.I was recently in Taiwan visiting. Checked out two large Rolex dealers. Both had ZERO stainless steel sports watches. Not even two tones. One only had a YM2, Gold Sky-D, Diamond dial Daytona. That was it. Pretty sad.
