Watches NEWS
New 42mm ROOs
So, I had the chance this weekend to finally try on a few 42mm ROOs in Las Vegas as they're are no AP dealers close to me in Texas. The only one they didn't have was a grey themes because it had sold earlier that day. My favorites were the black themes - the red stitched hornback on the new buckle is excellent - and the navy as the white subdials and orange accents really look great. Either would make a great match to my Diver on bracelet. What's your pick?My diver:BZ
Would this turn you off?
A Japanese dealer was offering a very good price (about US$3,000) on Chrono24 for a NIB Omega Speedy 3570.50. When pressed on the origin of the AD, he sent me this pic. Not exactly the most reassuring provenance. Would it bother you enough to look elsewhere?
Omega Deville Automatic
So what got me into Omegas was the watch I received from my father... he got it from my mother's father on the day that they were married in 1972.. He only wore it a couple of times and then it sat in a safe deposit vault for years... somewhere along the way the crystal got chipped... anyone have any ideas about the value of the watch (not that I'm going to sell it), any more information about it and how much it would take to replace the crystal? It still keeps great time... I apologize about the quality of the photos...thanksdrccw
5711 problem
ok here's my story: i have a 5711 that was working fine until about 20 months after buying it i noticed it would lose a few minutes every day.so i brought it in and they did a full service. it worked fine for a few weeks and then it started stopping. even after fully winding, it would stop after a few hours.brought it in again and they did some 'repairs' of which i'm not sure what.now i find it will run for maybe 1 and half days after winding it fully and it will continue running if i wear it. however, once i put it in my winder it will just run as if i wound it fully and did not wear it. it does not seem sensitive to the winder's motion at all. i don't think it's an issue with the winder as all my other watches are fine and this watch was running fine for 18 months inside the winder too. can anyone help me trouble shoot?
Thinking about Selling Pam 312
Hi. I bought Pam 312 new couple years ago... I just don't wear them anymoreBefore I ask my dealer to buy it from me, I was wondering what other places I can list? eBay?
