Funding A New Watch Brand With Kickstarter.com
So you wanna build a watch? It is a common dream of enterprising watch lovers to simply posit "I just want to start my own watch brand." It actually isn't as hard as you might think. There is a universe of services, companies, and resources to help you when starting from scratch. In fact, aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer contributing writer Paul Hubbard wrote a post on this very topic here. There you'll find information on actually making the watch, but more importantly is funding your project.Whether you are interested in starting a new brand or just building a one or two models, you'll need money upfront for the design and prototyping. Then you'll need more money for the industrialization and actual production. In between are costs for marketing, customer service, and a series of other little money-eaters.The potential pay-off is real. If you build a nice-looking watch you can made a handsome profit, given a reasonable margin on your production and design costs. Though, funding a larg
Found: The Most Amazing Vintage Watch Website Nobody's Heard Of (But Not For Long)
I recently came across an incredible website – a kind of paradise if, like me, you are passionate about vintage watches. Timeline.Watch, started as the virtual catalog of experienced watch enthusiast Dan Henry after 30 years of collecting. It's an incredible project: an interactive timeline covering a period of a hundred years, and not only that: Henry has made it possible for other passionate collectors to add their watches to the timeline. I had the chance to learn more about Dan's ambitious project, his hopes, and how he had chased all those gorgeous pieces in the first place. Get ready for some good insights and a TON of beautiful watches. 1 OF 21 The Origin Of Timeline.Watch Louis WestphalenSo how did Timeline.Watch come to life? Dan HenryIt is very simple, it all started after a bad experience with a watch. I had just found an unpolished Rolex 1530 on eBay, it was in a perfect condition – a bit of context here, the R

Speedmaster pro question
Been seeing a lot of photos of these recently online and I'm not really a fan of chronograph watches, this is probably the only one I would consider buying. Think is I have a Rolex GMTc and getting a AP diver at end of this month so thinking a chronograph would complete my collection.I've seen these are around 3300 new with discount available just wanted to ask what they sell for pre owned ? Do they hold there value
talk about impulsive, I just bought it
Crazy thing JUST happened. I just got a call from a AD, and before I knew it, I just bought the white SS SkyDweller. It all happened so quick, but when I was in Chicago 2 weeks ago, I found my business partner a D-blue that he wanted after he saw mine. A local AD had just received one the night before, and just by chance, I was there in the am , so we bought it. In talking to the gal I mentioned if she gets a white SS Skydweller in, I MAY be interested. Thinking zero chance of that, and more or less just talking to talk to her, she called this AM, and its on the way to me already. CRAZY.Was not really wanting another watch, and I will see it for the first time in person when it gets here Friday. I hope its as good and outstanding as you all say, cause I own it now.I guess its all timing, as this type of thing happened with my SD43 about 6 months ago at another AD 2000 miles away from this one
