The Sea Of Time Artwork By Kyle Bean
Click for a larger view of the imageThis composition titled "The Sea of Time" by English artist Kyle Bean well represents my feelings a lot as I navigate my way through the (sometimes stormy) world of watches. I thought you'd enjoy it as well. You can see more of Kyle Bean's work at his online portfolio website here.
GMT owners in the aviation business
I'm wondering, as the GMT was developed as a pilot watch,. how many GMT owners are really working in the aviation business? not necessarily as a pilot, but in the aviation industry in general. ?I own a GMT batman, and I'm in the aviation business for 30 years, started as a mechanic, tech. specialist, and now have my own company on buying and selling aircraft and parts, and recycling aircraft.i'm traveling a lot, and in aviation most of us 'work' with zulu time, the GMT is besides a very beautiful watch also a real tool for me. So that made me curious how many of 'us' are out there,.
Sky dweller
Greetings!Ok. So I would love to purchase the Sky dweller (in blue) but hearing its almost near impossible to obtain one at the moment, tempted to buy the white version.Would the white dial be worth as much as the blue version in the future? Is it best to wait for the blue than settle for the white?Happy to hear your thoughts! Thanks
Another Rolex Dilemma
I want a new watch for my 30th birthday, but Im having a hard time deciding and would love to hear some TRF wisdom. For sometime I've had my 16622 YM and what a great watch it is, but sometimes I find it a bit too dressy, I'm a big fan of sports watch. I have a seiko which I don't think Ill keep for much longer and Im going back to OWG. So here are my options.Option 1: Flip the YM for a Hulk. I really like the Hulk, it's stealthy, functional and practical. I like the idea of not needing to make a decision.Option 2: Keep the YM and add a Explorer 1. I've always had an eye on the Explorer, perfect zero f's given watch and use the YM for special occasions. GMT's are out since I don't need a GMT function. Daytonas are out as well, I ordered one earlier this year and I came realize I'm just not a chrono guy, gave my spot to a friend. Unfortunately Seadwellers are out as well, they are just too big for me. Grail is between PP5167 and YM 116655, most likely when the time comes I'll have to pai
You want a SECOND watch?!?!
2018 is lining up to be pretty exciting for me. I won't go into big detail other than I have been waiting for this since last Krismas. To celebrate I want to get myself a new watch. I currently own a white 116520 Daytona that I absolutely adore. I've worn it every day for the last three years and I almost hate to consider a second watch; but this will be a life altering occasion and I want to celebrate myself juust a little.I am going to set a price range of about $10-25K. This simply means I don't need to max out my budget to enjoy myself. Since the last giveaway I've been looking at the 116610LV(hulk), I am also really interested in trying on the new SS SkyDwellers(white/black/blue all great) and the SD43. A personal goal watch of mine would actually include the YG Daytona with green face a la Connor McGregor(116508); but I wouldn't ditch mine, nor own two Daytonas from the get go. I would love to hear about some other references you guys own and enjoy, Rolex or not. I am also okay w
