New at Baselworld: Breitling Chronomat GMT
Breitling’s new Chronomat GMT lets you adjust instantly to the time and date on your arrival while maintaining a 24-hour home-time display without losing any precision in counting the minutes. Equipped with the new Breitling Caliber 04, entirely developed and produced within the company workshops, the Chronomat GMT is a special chronograph offering a smoothly functional dual timezone system. Find pricing, arrival dates and wallpaper inside. To ensure user friendliness, Breitling’s watchmakers and engineers have developed a differential system C for which a patent has been filed C serving to disconnect the local hour hand from the gear train when changing timezone. This operation thus has no effect on the precision of the watch, nor on the performance of the chronograph. The new Breitling Caliber 04 developed for this model is derived from Breitling Caliber 01, entirely designed and produced within the company workshops. New member requesting assistance identifying vintage Omega
Hello TRF!I've been browsing the forum for several months and have finally mustered the courage for my first post.... Wanted to try to make the first one worthy of the forum. Please, let me preface that this is NOT a is it real/how much is it worth post, nor a veiled attempt to sell the watch, etc. This is meant as an honest attempt to obtain some information on the watch and break the ice with the fine folks on the forum. A little background on the watch:I've searched online and taken this watch to several ADs over the years to try to have it identified, but without success. So, I'd like to appeal to the experts here for assistance in determining what Model of Omega this is and an approximate age on it. Even the insurance appraisal from my AD is curiously vague regarding model information. The watch was my late uncle's. In the 1980's he gave it to me and said he bought it in the late 50's or early 60's. He was in the advanced stages of battling cancer and could not remember a lot

Costly Mistakes Made While On AD Waitlist
Got myself onto my first Rolex list a few months ago for a watch I'd been studying for months. The white sky-dweller. I wanted THAT watch. Gave them a 50% downpayment and waited. This did not scratch my want-a-watch itch. So I kept looking. Bought myself a Bluesy, at a nice discount. If I had stopped here, I would have been okay. It was a good price a quite liked it. But I kept looking. Decided I really liked a Patek 5396r-012, with the beautiful breguet numbers. Tried it on, liked it (thought I liked it), so I went to work on acquiring it. Found one at a what was a significant discount. Traded out of the bluesy, and added a big chunk of money, and got myself the Patek. Week or so later, don't love the Patek anymore. Still want the damn sky-dweller.Thought I could just get my money out of the Patek like I did the Bluesy. Nope. Doesn't work that way. A 20% loss in ONE MONTH. So I keep it, thinking. Thinking. Finally, three months later (as in, this week), I give up waiting and pull the
