INCOMING - my first AP and entry into the world of Haut Horlogerie
So, I have finally ordered a BNIB black dial 15400 and expect to receive it early next week.I will admit to having been amazed by the wide range of prices/discounts/deals, including the kind offer of not a penny off from the AP boutique in Geneva. The recent actions of the Swiss National Bank spurred me into action, and I will report back on my chosen grey market dealer once the transaction is complete...In the meantime, I am very much looking forward to entering the rarified world of Audemars Piguet and haut horlogerie. Here's a brochure shot just for fun....
First AP Help
I need help in deciding which watch I should get for my first AP. I have narrowed it down to the 3 watches below. I know 100% I will be pursing a 42mm ROO chrono all black ceramic if/when AP ever comes out with it. Depending on which watch I get now and how much I like it, I would possibly sell it to upgrade to my next AP. With that being said, future value is a small factor in determining which way I should go.Royal Oak Offshore Limited Edition Ginza $22,500.00Royal Oak Ceramic Diver $23,9002014 Royal Oak Offshore $21,000
New Planet Ocean!
I finally got another Seamaster and couldn't be happier with this model! No regrets going with 45mm and rubber strap. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1366479213.079515.jpg
Omega PO 8500: 8 seconds fast in 3 days?

5970P v 5270P (yet to be announced...)
So as some of you know through private pm or personally knowing me I sold my 5970G and 'upgraded' to a 5970P. Being that I've given up on finding a J 5970 and have no interested in a 5970R what are your thoughts of trying to acquire a 5270P in addition to the 5970P once it's announced? I'm hoping the new 5270P will have the exact same dial as the 5271P we saw at basel this year. My plan was originally to save for a 5004P black baton over a few years but I'm sort of on this kick of wanting to have some of the new technically superior in house movements patek is making. Though I love that new black 5204P I can't get over the upside moonphase....I know I know it's a small thing but it really does bother me (same reason I just can't get one of those gorgeous 5396G tiffany's with the breguet numerals)...I love astronomy and I'm sorry but the moon and stars are in the sky....not on the ground. Anywho, yeah my goal was to save save save for a 5004P....but that is an older movement (basically
