A Week On The Wrist: The Breguet Classique Chronomtrie 7727
Here's the thing. When most watch folks think of the best and brightest in high-end watchmaking today, we most often mention names like Patek Philippe, A. Lange & Söhne, F.P. Journe, Audemars Piguet, and Vacheron Constantin. For some strange reason, the name Breguet doesn't usually make an appearance. Why? It's hard to say, because Breguet, at least the historical brand, is absolutely the most important in all of watchmaking. But is Breguet of today the rightful heir to the brand that Abraham-Louis built, or is it simply another name chosen by a group of savvy investors from the headstone of a Swiss (well, French in this case; Breguet's buried in Père Lachaise, in Paris) graveyard? Thoughts on the Pam 190??
I am on getting close to trading in my 112 on a 190 (plus cash). I am some what new to Panerai and have always owned Rolex watches. When I saw the 190 it really stood out to me and struck a cord that Rolex just has not done for me lately. Wanted to know what you guys thought about the 190. The deal would be my 112 plus about $4k cash.
Lesson learned my friend
Here are the facts:1. Had the opportunity to buy a DSSD. 2. Thought I'd be clever and trade crypto instead, and then be able to buy a DSSD for everybody on the block.3. Portfolio up 125% after two weeks of trading.4. Decided to keep going.5. Today at a loss of 50%.6. Cry myself to sleep tonight.Lesson: just buy the damn watch next time.
