Ultra Rare Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk Watch Available On eBay
This is why I love eBay, cause stuff like this shows up on it, and I have no idea how. You know that I love the Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk watch that I initially discussed here, and then once again here when I announced that Seiko was going to offer a limited edition Spacewalk Commemorative Edition of 100 pieces. Seiko originally made just 6 of the watches. It was made for Richard Garriot and worn by him into space. That specific piece sold for over $45,000 several months ago. It now looks one of the rare 100 Commemorative Edition pieces is being auctioned off on eBay, brand new. Starting bid is $27,500 - just shy of the roughly $28,000 - $29,000 that the new Spacewalk Commemorative Edition models retail for being just now released. 100 pieces, and they are going to very hard to find.So if you want one of the new Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk Commemorative Edition watches made to go into space, or where ever else you might find yourself, check out the eBay page here. My wife and I were happy that TRF member HK IslandBoy visited our neighborhood tonight. It was great to try on his AP, talk watches, and enjoy some food & drinks together Sent from my SM-G9550 using Tapatalk
Where have I been?
Several have noticed my absence from the forum and asked where I have been.Well, I have been around albeit rather infrequently. A year or so ago, we bought a home with our oldest daughter which has turned into a major renovation project that my wife calls the money pit.We are still living in a construction zone but the move has allowed me to return to my original hobby, ham radio. Financing the acquisition of the equipment necessary to get back on the air has required the liquidation of most of my watch collection. I once said that my 300 Master Coaxial could easily be my one and only and that has almost become a reality. it and my Speamaster are my last two Omegas and the Speamaster is about to go on the block. For those hams in the group, as soon as my antennae go up with warmer weather, look for me on the HF bands. In the meantime, try connecting to K4YK on D-star.But of course, I'll be at the Spring ATL GTG on the last Saturday in April.

Found it on EBay, seller says it's from 2006, a quartz movement, men's in 39mm. Doesn't list a reference number. Not really fired up about the EBay deal, but like the watch and would like a little info.
Lume power
Anyone notice some models have a much higher lume than others? For instance the lume on my 233 blows my 422 awayOr maybe just the lume on my 422 is bad?
