58 New Old Stock Breitling Watches "Last Of The Joseph Iten Collection" On eBay For $125,000
What is the Joseph Iten Breitling collection? It is/was a collection of about 1,500 NOS (new old stock) Breitling watches that were produced in the 1970s and "held in a bank vault" before the company was saved from forever closing down after being sold. Mr. Iten (now deceased) acquired about 1,500 of an estimated 3,000 NOS watches that Willy Breitling held on to in 1978.?While Breitling watches is alive and well today, the company shut down for a period of time in the late 1970s during the "quartz crisis." In 1978, Breitling terminated its operations but was purchased by the Schneider family in 1979 C who still owns the company today. At that time, Willy Breitling (who died shortly after the company was sold) decided to hold on to a large selection of unsold and prototype watches. Many of those were sold over the last 20 years via private sales and auctions, but only a few remain today outside the hands of private collectors.Old World Jewelers (their eBay store) out of Illinois, USA, c
Introducing The Bremont Kingsman Collection, Three Watches Designed For The New Spy Film "Kings
What is it about spy movies and watches? Bond had his Rolex (and now his OMEGA) and Bourne had his TAG Heuer. Those characters' movies featured watches as subtle (okay, sometimes not so subtle) product placements. But the forthcoming spy action?thriller?"Kingsman: The Secret Service" not only has watches front and center, its producers and costume designers also actually had three watches commissioned especially for it. Those watches are from Bremont, based on two of the brand's existing chronographs, but with some unique features and the fictional secret organization's logo on their dials. 2 OF 3 The Bremont Kingsman DLC The three Kingsman watches are differentiated for their respective roles in the movie, with a black DLC steel version of Bremont's ALT1-B2 GMT watch for new field operative recruits and a rose-gold piece with white dial based on the existing ALT1-WT world time chronograph for the seasoned veteran agents. There's also a steel version of the World Tim
Forged carbon durability
Just wondering how the forged cases are holding up. I know there were some issues with the grand prix, alinghi, and bumblebee with unusual wear and discoloration, but was wondering if this resolved. Mainly interested in the FC diver or bee. Thanks
VAT and Customs
I be reading how some of you get stuck paying VAT when going through customs. How is this possible? I never had anyone question me about my watch nor seen anyone run into that issue. The reaction I get from Customs is looks and an occasional compliment, Nice watch. I get through Customs just fine. Plus, would if you bought the watch years ago? How do they track and/or know if you just bought the Rolex? I'm just confused on how people get stuck paying VAT.
Incoming ! Oldie but goodie
Happy Friday! So for a while I've been yearning for a 5 digit sub, specifically Y serial 2-liner 14060M with box/papers in mint condition.... while here and there I would see one pop up, a few weeks ago I decided to mentally commit (for me the toughest part of deciding to buy pre-owned), and yesterday found exactly what I was looking for and pulled the trigger - first time I bought from Govberg, and I have to say it was a pleasure. Armand was fantastic and got the package fed-ex in under 24 hours. Will size it later today. Hope everyone has a good weekend!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
