IWC Big Pilot Limited Edition Perpetual Calendar Watch
Big Pilot + Perpetual Calendar watch? Yes please! I personally think it is great. IWC did a good job with this orange and black beauty. But a limited edition only? Well, maybe we will see more of them in the future. Actually we have seen a lot of IWC watches in limited edition skin lately, and I won't complain when it is in Big Pilot form. Tried on some Royal Oaks
So I visited the AD and got to try on some ROs. First up was the 15450- the salesman thought I was crazy trying it on but when I put it on, he was surprised it fit. And it didn't need half of the links removed to make it fit. To me it's on the small side compared to my 39mm Explorer but I think it might work out. I think the combo of the sharp edges of the watch plus a bigger diameter makes it too in your face and chunky. Everything about it is gorgeous. I actually started thinking about how I was going to buy it. Second was the 15450 in rose gold with the black face and crocodile strap. OMFG. This watch is a stunner. It's amazing how the change in the bracelet and case material transforms the feel of the watch. The steel model looks modern and very sleek. This version is pure class. It has a totally different feel. The rose gold gives a warmth to the design that the steel version lacks. I wouldn't say better, but different. Finally I tried in the 41mm 15400 with a black dial. Taking more than 1 AP into the US?
Does anyone know if there are issues if you took more than 1 AP into the US? I've only just started collecting AP and will shortly be going to the US and would like to take some with me.I know with Rolex this is a no no and customs have the right to stop you from carrying more than 1 Rolex into the US if they catch you.
