Creating The Horological Machine: An Interview With MB&F Founder Max Bsser Part 2
Contributed by David BredanRead part 1 of the interview here.MB&F has been playing a major role on the stage of high-end watch making for several years now. However, just like with every blockbuster's premier, the public's keen attention?is there, but the limelight only shows the final production; and who wouldn't ever wonder just what's going on behind the scenes? In the first segment of this three-part interview, Maximilan Bsser told us about exactly that! We found out how he got involved?in the seemingly sleepy world of watch making, and we gained a unique?insight into just how difficult it is to get a main character's position. Now, in Part 2 we get to see how he managed to continue after all the massive early challenges, what are his fundamental (and as we will see, very unique to the watch making world) values and motives behind every new act of MB&F, the obstacles these create, how and why in his opinion the public's perception has changed about their work, and we receiv
15400 on skinny wrist
I've been deciding to add an AP to my collection and currently leaning towards the 15400. But being in Australia locating one is quite difficult and it'll be a lot easier for me to buy one here from a TD. Only problem is that I have a really skinny wrist 6.5. So I just wanted to see some pictures of the 15400 on skinny wrists before I make my final decision. Let's see those skinny wrists!
AP Service Schedule and Costs?
Hi All,Really taking a liking to the AP and as all of you have confirmed it can be a daily wearer and not be a safe queen.Have been reading up on servicing but would like some advice as can't seem to find the link on AP website. What is the servicing schedule and average costs for a modern day Royal Oak e.g. 15400?In my mind I'm budgeting about 2000 UK Sterling to have the watch sent to Switzerland every 3-4 years. Is that your experience?Or are these only recommended schedules and different in reality? Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Not the most expensive piece but....
I found this photo in my phone of this Jupiter quartz I once had.I know it's not automatic and not the most expensive piece but I just really like the way it looked and personally always liked playing with the quartz movements.
Authentic 1972 Oyster Perpetual?
I came across a 1973 Oyster Perpetual Rolex for a little under $2,000. I had some questions regarding what a good price would be for a watch this old and with some heavy bracelet stretching. My friend said he thought the band was a fake, but the seller believed it authentic, I had a hard time deciding. This will be my first Rolex so I appreciate your help.
