Porsche Design Chronotimer Series 1 Rennsport Reunion V Limited Edition Watch
If your love of watches is grounded in a wider love of all things luxury, the Porsche Rennsport Reunion V is an event you'd be mad to miss! Held every three years, the reunion brings together the finest examples of Porsche automobiles to ever roll off the production line. Well known for its creations not always completely related?to motoring, Porsche Design is releasing a new watch to commemorate this emotive event. The Porsche Design Chronotimer Series 1 Rennsport Reunion V Limited Edition watch follows in the footsteps of the 1972, and 1980 chronograph releases by Porsche Design. But before we delve into the technical and aesthetic specifications of this new luxury timepiece, let's take a look at the event itself and what it stands for.Held September 25th to 27th, 2015, at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, the Porsche Rennsport Reunion V is the world's largest gathering of significant Porsche race cars and the drivers that drove them in competition (very often to
USAgency Air Force One Watch Winner Follow-Up
In April, 2012 the aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer watch giveaway piece was the USAgency Air Force One bundle. The giveaway included a watch, special box, wallet, and sunglasses. The winner of the giveaway - Ron B. from Israel - has now had some time with the watch and has offered a little review and some pictures. Thank again Ron, and to USAgency Watches:"First of all, sorry for the long wait for the review, I was very busy lately, and also wanted to spend some time with the watch so I could write an honest opinion about it. In the two months since I got the watch, I enjoyed it very much.It is lightweight, yet does not feel cheap at all, the weight is perfect, the weight makes it a joy to wear on the wrist even though at 47mm (without the crown) it is by no means a small watch especially on my small-medium sized wrist. The watch is made almost entirely out of polycarbonate, yet it does not feel "plastic-y" at all, the polymer is rock solid, and way more scratch resistant than I expected, aft
A few pics of my Speedy Pro
Thought I'd post a few pics of my recently acquired 3570.50 on a Hirsch CF strap. It's currently fighting with the SDDS for wrist-time - 50:50 over the last week.
Expensive service no good
A friend was having trouble with his Submariner stopping at random. He had had the watch from new and decided it needed a service. It was sent away to Rolex at a cost of 520 and was away for 3 months. When he got it back it was all shiny like a new watch but was still stopping. It has been returned to Rolex with no promise of a quick turn around that's not what I call a good service.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
Any Photoshop experts? 116710LVNR
Would a 116710 LVNR be popular? Green and black bezel, with a green GMT hand. Assume a black dial, but maybe a green dial, if the GMT hand were a different color (gold?).Is anyone good with photoshop that can mock one up? Would be interesting to see, and with the pupularity of the Hulk and Kermit subs, this could be popular as well, if Rolex were to make it. What do you all think?
