3 Exceptional Boutique Watches We Found Outside of SIHH 2015
Every year at Geneva’s SIHH watch salon, a host of luxury watch brands (most of them owned by the Richemont Group) unveil their new timepieces to international retailers, collectors, and journalists. In recent years, other smaller, non-participating brands have set up shop outside of the SIHH in Geneva’s luxury hotels, displaying new models of their own. Here are three notable examples of such watches that we found this year.Manufacture Royale Androgyne Origine, 245th Anniversary Limited EditionNamed for the watch atelier founded by French literary icon Voltaire in 1770, this boutique brand is know for tourbillon watches with steampunk-influenced designs. The new Androgyne Origine commemorates 245 years since the foundation of the original Manufacture Royale. Its complex case is made up of 52 parts and is especially notable for its moving, flexible lugs that make the large timepiece eminently wearable on all types of wrists despite its rather large case diameter (43 mm). Specs of luxurious Chopard 1000 Miglia GT XL Chrono Speed Black Watch
Animation of Chopard Miglia GT XL Chrono Black watch speed 1000 is a variant of the chronograph calibre Valjoux 7750 robust and extremely precise. The automatic movement of the Switzerland won praise throughout the brotherhood of watches for its robust construction, reliable operating characteristics and mechanism Eprouvés chronograph integrated. Frequency of review of 28 800 vibrations per hour allows the chronograph function sets of time record in the second about 1/8th.
Power of the mainspring barrel reserve is approximately 48 hours. Each of these sizes is submitted by Chopard in an Office of the Switzerland official chronometer control (COSC) where he undergoes a 15 days of tests to ensure that the accuracy is a demanding range on a variety of positioning and temperature variations. The certificate provided with each timepiece, and the inscription of chronometer on the dial, both attest the movement that have emerged with success of these trials.
I am getting that itch again, think I need an AP
Really want to add an AP into the collection. Have had a RO, 2 ROO and 2 44 Novelties in the past. For one reason or another I am without an AP at the moment. Gave one to one of my sons and traded or sold the others away. Was thinking about a RO or the ROC. Wish the ROC had an inhouse movement or that would be a simple move. Still thinking of getting a black dial to offset my white Daytona. Had a chance to see the black dial Rose on strap and WOW is that something. Haven't seen the white dial must be impressive too. Anyone have first hand experience/opinions on these two?ROO - to me the black with red is far and away the best iteration. Having never owned a Diver, that has my attention too. I see a lot of these being traded, why does it appear people tire of these?Couple questions, anyone own a ROC and a Daytona, if so, does the Daytona ever see the light of day?I know in the past with a RO it recieved it's fair share of time. Not sure where to go on this one but the hunt is often a lo

Datejust with ice blue or glacial dial? Aftermarket or original?
Was wondering if some of the Rolex experts could help me out on this. I know these dials typically come on platinum and day date models. I have seen some online on datejusts, typically with diamonds, but I think they are aftermarket non factory dials. So my question is:Did Rolex ever release a datejust with a factory pale blue or glacial or ice blue dial (without the flashy diamonds)? If so is there a reference number or year I can use to help me source one? Preferably with a fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet in 36mm? Thank you in advance.
