Concord Announces C Lab Series
Concord announces the creation of C Lab Series, a special unit that will research and develop cutting-edge timepieces. Concord describes C Lab Series as a “hub of expression and design, whose mission is to transform watchmaking. In this testing ground of ideas, science and engineering become an art-form while research and development becomes a discipline in its own right.” The C Lab Series will test and employ “futuristic” materials, and Concord plans to offer grants to universities and engineering schools to pursue “extraordinary watchmaking partnerships.”
CK2998 or Official Timekeeper
Saw both of these at a boutique recently and liked both of them, but for different reasons. They are obviously very different watches, but if you could only get one, which one would you get? The CK 2998 is a bit more eye-catching, and has a beautiful dark blue panda dial. It is also a bit more versatile, especially if you get a couple of different straps and Natos, but I have a few casual watches in my rotation already. The Official Timekeeper is in gold, and clearly a dress watch (which I currently do not have). It is also about double the price of the CK, but at 188 pieces total, it is much more limited, and has a very interesting manual wind co-axial chronometer movement. It hasn't really gotten much attention, which might actually be a good thing, but I'm not sure about the red Omega logo.
Omega Band
Hi folks I want to get a new Omega strap for this watch. Can someone let me know what I am looking for and where to look? Thanks All!Mike
Bought it...sold it......regretted it.....and bought it again
Hi fellow Rolex fansI purchased a Deepsea D-Blue in April 2015 by total fluke in a UK AD.Got complacent as I had a few other nice watches in collection and sold it a year later.Everytime I've seen one on this forum my tummy has turned over and knew I had to get another one...so on Friday just gone I managed to pluck up the courage to pay well over list for a year old watch and it truly feels great to have it backThanks N.
