Glashutte Original Senator Diary Watch
New from Glashutte Original for 2010 is the Senator Diary watch. What is it? Basically a mechanical alarm watch that can be set up to 31 days in the future as opposed to "tomorrow." It has an in-house made automatic movement with the time, date, and the unique alarm complication. What is the "diary" part of the watch? You can whisper your hopes, dreams, and celebrity crushes to the watch - and it will never share your secrets with anyone else.See my Glashutte Original Senator Diary watch article at Haute Living here. New USA B01 limited
I bought one from my local AD last night and I'm totally in love with it!!!!! The blue face with red sub dials is amazing IMHO and I've been after a watch with that color combo for a year or two.I'll try to get some pictures posted tonight when I get some time.
Patek as only watch- anybody do this?
I'm thinking about flipping two Rolexes for a single watch, I'm thinking about a Patek as one of them. Anybody have a Patek as the only watch? Thinking about something from the Calatrava, Nautilus, or Aquanaut lineup.I'm not too concerned regarding the durability- obviously a WG Rolex sub is going to be a tank compared to a Patek, but I have yet to incorporate smashing rocks with my wrist into my workout routine so I'm not too concerned with a Patek handling desk diving.Service costs can be expensive but I'm probably looking at just date and time as the only functions, so can't be too expensive over a Rolex. I'd probably have to send it in more compared to a Rolex, but again, I can't imagine this will bankrupt me.The one thing that I worry about is the servicing time. Months without a watch? That kinda sucks.Anyways, would love to hear everybody's input. Thanks!
Dents on 1950 Case
I have a PAM312 (with 1950 case), and it sits higher than most other watches, so I find myself unintentionally hitting the case on things like desks more often than with my other watches. Anyone else have this issue or is it just me?I've managed to get a few, minor nicks and dents on the bezel and case of my PAM 312. Would Panerai service be able to remove the minor ones? And are the bezels replaceable?
Pam88 Question
hello,Anyone in here owned this model? I plan on getting one. Which series is the latest series? I went to hing wa lee to check out the watch and asked the sales person but she didn't seem to have a good knowledge on this model. Can someone tell me anywhere I can get one at a good price? Thanks,AK
