Steel vs gold?
Have the 15400st which is among my most casual watches (can't really call it a beater) but also dresses up ok with a suit. There are a few 15400or blue dials at various trusted sellers and have thought about trading in/up. I have a big wrist and like the second hand, so 15202 doesn't work for me. Am wondering about steel vs gold and particularly if the gold bracelet is too blingy.
AP 15400 Date Change
HI I am considering a 15400. Love the watch. I have heard through these forums from owners that the date function does not turn over at/near midnight. I am wondering why this is the case? Many simple eta watches execute this flawlessly. Why on a watch of this level, with an in house movement not have this capability?
quisk question...
brothers what is the general price, as in on ebay or through this forum, of the 50th anniversary speedmaster NIB?..I have got one brand new and m planning to sell it if i get a good price :)
Would anyone buy this?
Folks,I occasionally like to imagine watches that I wish PP would make, and envision the perfect watch for me. Now, I'm not saying this is it, but the idea popped in my head while considering one of the many threads in which the 5711 is compared to the 5167. So, here it is: What if you took a 5167A case, then fitted with a version of the 5711 blue dial. Then, with the traditional lugs, PP could offer a range of interchangeable (meaning no watch tool required) leather and possibly rubber strap options. Even a ss bracelet for those who were so inclined. Other considerations: should it have Arabic or baton hour markers? Should it have a date window? Thoughts? Just seemed like a fun idea to kick around...

Are there any specific movements that Patek is specifically known for doing any better than any other watch manufacturer?
